Ellen to marry Portia

Ellen Degeneres: “I’m thrilled that the California supreme court overturned the ban on gay marriage. I can’t wait to get married. We all deserve the same rights, and I believe that someday we’ll look back on this and not allowing gays to marry will seem as absurd as not allowing women to vote. P.S. I’m registered at Crate & Barrel.”

I agree and Ellen and Portia are perfect for each other. Gays have the right to make Vegas Wedding Chapel mistakes and be as miserable as the rest of us. It's stupid to think they don't. Not big on marriage..can you tell? But, only old uptight evangelists think gays shouldn't marry.

Why does anybody care what someone else wants to do with their life, if it doesn't hurt anybody? I don't care & I say do w/e as long as no one is injured by it. I love Ellen, she's awesome. I don't like Rosie tho. So, I can pick my fav lez, right? Rosie used to be nice & OK. But we found out that was a fake-out. Then I didn't like her anymore.

Marry and be miserable for all I care. Why ruin a good thing. I just dont agree with the gay activists trying to marry in Catholic churches, and claiming discrimination. I worked for shelter filled with gay AIDS and hepatitis patients that was run by the Catholic archdiocese, and no one was ever turned away or discriminated against. I just think that marriage for procreation is the reason behind the church's position. This is my opinion and will respect anyone elses, so don't get offended. I love you still.

I live in Massachusetts and people here began getting divorces like, a month after they were allowed to get married here it's ridiculous

I'm 50 & when I was 8 years old my mom once told me that one day people wouldn't even get married anymore, they'd just live together. She was a forward thinker. I never forgot it. My parents had just divorced. So, I kinda agree with anon 8:04...it's not mandatory to get married. If you are happy & commited to one another a piece of paper won't change that. Goldie & Kurt and many others have proven that to be so true. But the lawyers are gonna love this one! More 50/50 Cali divorces! "Cha-ching"!!
