Heather Locklear in Treatment

Heather Locklear is seeking treatment for psychological issues at an Arizona facility, her publicist confirms to PEOPLE exclusively. "Heather has been dealing with anxiety and depression. She requested an in-depth evaluation of her medication and entered into a medical facility for proper diagnosis and treatment," says Locklear's rep, Cece Yorke. "This is a confidential medical matter and no further statement will be released."

I'm sure Heather will get flowers from Denise Richards.

I feel for her young daughter - Dad pulls a DUI and just when she needs her Mom, she's in therapy for her own problems. Good luck to all of them!

she'll send her "poppies...poppies..."

"She requested an in-depth eval. of her medication..." BULLSHIT!
Your regular physician can help with this - there's a bigger reason for checking into a facility. I SHOULD KNOW. We all have some form of anxiety/depression at some point. We also deserve our privacy, but it's better to give NO statement, than a bullshit one.

Get Well* Heather * my sister has Mental Issues ( bipolar) it's really nothing to judge or laugh at.

I'm sure Denise R will spin a whole episode around it some how.

Good luck Heather I hope she's proud of herself and people realize it takes more personal strenght to ask for help and take it then it does to keep avoiding it and suffering through whatever it is.

You're right, it's ignorant and cruel to laugh at people in this condition, but it happens all the time. Even people with first-hand experience with mental problems will be intolerant of people with a different kind of problem, so we all have a lot to learn about humanity and kindness.

Not true, MDs are NOT very helpful beyond sending you for blood and urine tests.

Your experience is only one person's, you don't know what other people go through....

If it's such personal matter...STFU about it. Noone would probably miss her....I doubt the tabloids would....you want it private? KEEP YOUR TRAP SHUT!

how would we have known about this if she didn't release a statement? I personally don't really care. I don't think she'd be worried if I was at the hospital.

Man are we really all so jaded that we automaticly think the worst of someone and why they choose to handle something the way they did?

She was probably seen or at the very least they knew once she was admitted someone would be on the bum to some rag mag to make a few quick bucks with the hush hush secret so she dealt with it upfront and had her pr ppl release a statement.

At least she's not out there doing all kinds of trashy stuff and then making the rounds on shows to blame it on something else, she wasn't in control or like paris and how she was going to make all kinds of changes in her life after getting out of jail lol. Come on not everyone is of that mentality, at least Heather tries to behave with some dignity and maturity.

My family physician did a total sit-down evaluation, giving me a wide variety of options. It's hard when you have to worry abt cost & insurance. Celebs don't have to worry abt paying the bill they'll receive.

You know, with all the Hollywood "yesterday's news" bullshit that goes on, think about it: She's madly in love with her husband; she discovers him cheating, he runs off with Denise Richards, gets a DUI with her kid in the car. Even for a Beautiful Person, this may all be a little MUCH... Give the woman a little slack, is all I'm sayin'.
