Preeeeeeeeeeee...senting..

Baby, Lila Snow. 7 pounds, 5 ounces and 20 inches long. They went to the city to have her, so I haven't seen her in person yet. I can't wait to meet her. It's been a long wait. Sarah has had induced labor since 2pm Thursday and Miss Lila Snow finally showed at 6 pm today. Isn't she adorable??

Off topic...DD, I know you have a lot of readers from Cali. I was hoping none of them were in the rain damaged areas. I know mary_mary and I think Border Collie are there but I don't know what area. I'm hoping the best for them and for all involved.

If you are in Cali., let us know you are OK if you can.

Thanks for the concern Jane. It makes me feel good to know I am thought of. Mary Mary should be ok, I have an idea about where she lives. I am nearer the beach and the hilly areas are more in danger. The road in Malibu is always closed when it rains and the high tides always damage the houses. I went to Pepperdine and my classmates would go help them with their SUVs. I did not, because come summer, those beach people did everything they could to block access to the public beaches in front of the houses my classmates did so much to save. Screw them.

Darling baby. Who's baby is it? I think I have missed something. I was induced, it's dreadful and stronger. I did it for over 12 hours, but not for days! Poor momma. But so worth it. I know she has to be wrung out exhausted. I couldn't even lift my arms the next day. I had nothing left. So, I empathize. xo to new baby.

Oh Karma.....

I guess when you set out to do something with an expectation of getting something you will be disappointed.

One might speculate that it is also karma that would have beach houses washed away from people that have previously banned access to outsiders.

Perhaps so.

However those people own their beachfront property and I don't think I would want uninvited guests accessing it thru my property.

I was wondering if anyone knows if the rains helped to fill the reservoirs?

Cindy said...

Sweet baby! Congratulations..

Jane said...

Anon, the only reason I asked was because the news I saw said that the reservoirs were only about 1/3 full. I live with water all around me. It's hard for me to understand droughts that severe. To me a drought is not getting any rain for a month. Sorry if I appear dense to you, but when I don't know about something I ask those who do.

Jane,
The reservoirs around me are lakes that ppl ski, boat and party on when allowed. They close some of it off if we need the water. Leaving some ppl's piers standing in dry ground all summer. Many are covered over towns, flooded to provide water to a larger community. During droughts, you can see the building foundations popping up thru the water. A reservoir is just a water bank. A water savings acct, so to speak. We have so many people drive into retention ponds at night, in housing developments. Many drown. They now are installing guards around them. Those things scare me.

Off the topic of Xmas...I watch a lot of oddities shows. If it has the words mystery, ghosts, haunts, or monsters in it, I will watch it. I am so surprised to see that Iowa is on these shows so much that I googled it. Iowa is one haunted state! What's going on in Iowa that makes so much mystery?

PS...for those of you with little kids, Google is tracking Santa Claus. And if you put your city in, it will tell you when he gets there.
