Looking back...

Staying at a Pagan house during a Solstice drove the God Warrior over the edge. She is my favorite Christian of all time.

  1. she seems demonically possessed while describing the dark side stuff. I have no idea who this is but she creeped me out

  2. She is possibly the worst and ugliest "Christian" I've ever seen! Well, besides Glenn Beck.

  3. Oh, no, this woman is a nightmare! I remember that episode. She is NOT typical of any Christian or any woman I know or have ever known. Was she for real, do you think, or was she putting on a really terrific show? Couldn't believe she actually had a family of her own, looking and acting that way. Didn't she come back on the show for an encore with red hair?

  4. Apparently her oldest daughter "Ashley" died in a car accident in 2007.

  5. WTF IS UP withh all the trolls on here???

    GET A FUCKING LIFE. ASSHOLES.

  6. This woman lives in Ponchatoula which is about 10 min from my house. I am so ashamed (and sometimes scared) to be surrounded by these ppl. Life as an atheist in South Louisiana is never boring.

  7. she's the reason they have that scripture talking about satan transforming himself into an angel of light...she's a god warrior all right, but not the one for whom she thinks she's a champion.

  8. Oh shit. That's the woman that runs the 7-11

  9. The god she thinks she's worshiping would run away from her screaming like a little girl.

  10. Her daughter, Ashley, passed away? I guess Ashley's daughter will now have to deal with big momma full-time -- can you imagine it? What was her husband thinking? Could she ever have looked better or been any more mentally stable?

I'm also from the south, have been in more than my share of Baptist churches, among others, and have never seen the like of this.

  11. i watched that video and she's nuts!!! and i loved how it said she kept the money!!!

and to further my amusement, today in the mail i got the 'something something DARK SIDE' episode of family guy from netflix today!

  12. Yes, Ashley Perrin died in a car crash and her poor daughter is being raised by the God Warrior.

  13. @Sole,

You seem like a bright young woman. I am alarmed that you live near Ponchatoula...

My Ex is from that town. Please tell me your partner's initials aren't MWP. Or do you know poor Erin? He is abroad now too which makes this seem like a bizarre coincidence.

I'm certain this is a coincidence, but I have to ask because he hurts people and used to follow this blog after I introduced him to it in 2007.

Please please please let me be wrong...I only have good intentions toward you and Erin.

  14. Pat,

I am not trying to stir the pot, but I had to ask Sole...you know what I have been through, I couldn't bear another family experiencing the pain we did over my Ex.

  15. I felt bad for her in her second appearance on the show though.... :-/

  16. Actually she reminds me A LOT of my best friend's mom. She's a God warrior matron nut too, but she raised damn fine children (who are def. NOT religious nuts). I've known them for more than 15 years. I think the granddaughter is gonna do just fine, that woman doesn't scare me really.

  17. OMG! Christian Nut case...EXTREME.. Yupper duppers, it's folks like this that keep me content and secure in my atheism...

    ReplyDelete
  18. Wow, can I have those 5 minutes back?. That was unbridled ignorance and prejudice; not very Christian.

anon 6:01, I watch Glen Beck often and have yet to see a single episode in which he does not give facts to back his statements. He bashed Bush often and now calls this administration on their lack of transparency and back door deals. How about some facts of your own. He is not a politician or even a newscaster, he is a commentator who has put the White House on its heels with his red phone.

  20. She's not a Christian, she's a CHRISTIAN-AAAAH

  21. This was so sad to watch again. I had seen it previously. She is so extreme, and not at all what most Christians are. I have belonged to or attended my share of churches, and though my experience has been here on the west coast, I have never seen anything like that anywhere except with this one particular woman. How sad for her family. God Bless Ashley Perrin and her daughter.

  22. All the people I've ever known from the Ponchatoula-Hammond area were normal and it looked like her family was normal too. But that area is right on the south side of the Bible Belt. I know her family must have loved her, but can you imagine what her family must have gone through after that video aired. The children must have been tormented by others.

Does anyone know what the family is like today? Is she still running on the loose or has she been locked up where she belongs?
I'm not surprised she took the money---religious zealots always seem to have their hands out!
But I am very sorry to hear about Ashley. Her life must have been a hard one. Sometimes things are just not fair in life and you wonder how the "almighty" can be so cruel.

I had to laugh at the thought of her in armour!

  23. "God wants spiritual fruit, not religious nuts." ~Anonymous

This quote comes to mind... lol :)

  24. WTF?!? She scares the religion out of me. AND - why is she screaming at her family? I don't get it.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Casey, I think she's screaming at her family because the mom that they switched her with was very kind and likable. Margaret was creeped out by the ways of the other family to the point of not even bothering to listen to their explanations. The non-christian mom was very nice to Margaret's kids and husband and I think she was probably jealous.

  26. My partner is from Ponchatoula originally...Jay Donohoe (he is only 25 so shouldn't have an EX). I am from Loranger right up the road. Most people are at least graceous about the religion thing. They smile at you and wait til you leave to talk. This woman is crazy though, but sadly not unusual here.

I know a woman named Erin B. I work with her. She lives in Ponchy.

    ReplyDelete
  27. But yea, ppl like this are the reason I am an atheist. I love to mess with overtly religious ppl like this. Just like I love to tell the anti-abortion ppl "Too late."

    ReplyDelete
  28. @ sole

I knew it was too crazy to be possible. MWP is obviously not your Ex and Erin doesn't live in Louisiana right now. Just a series of small coincidences.

I had to err on the side of caution because no one deserves to be subjected to his cruelty.

Sorry if I caused you any alarm, I just wanted to be certain, I wish I had known what he really was and would try to prevent MWP from hurting another person. He is toxic and has hurt many people in his life. I found out about him before I married him...and I haven't let him drag me down--he took enough of my time and energy--I am well rid of him.

Sole, I was just freaked because you sound like a lovely and intelligent woman with infinite potential ahead of her.

Sorry! It's so strange because MWP knew of the Christian Warrior AND he followed DD when stateside.

All the best to you. Have a wonderful New Year.

No worry. I am grateful that I am not dating this person. He sounds horrible. And if I was I would be grateful that you said something. Jay is a very nice person. He is in the Navy and I dislike the military thought process he now has, but that is all. Happy New Year to you too!

  30. I remeber this DD...she was frickin nuts!! I did feel sorry for her in the second one ...that man was nuttier than she was.
The man she went to visit in the first one has a nice website..

  31. No crosses in the house. Screaming that she is a god warrior. Ripping up the check. More screaming.

all it leads to is more views. Seeing one dark program about how fake alot of these reality shows are. I dont know what ones are even real. They use all diffrent ways to bring viewers in. Look at her. She is spastic loud and abrasive. Perfect to get people to talk. This program new they were going to get conflict when they mix a christian with a pagan.

What Ive learned from DD is that Pagan is not evil like some presive. Its more about power, love, mother nature, peace and many more. Ive been studying all diffrent religon for awhile. Just to see what one will work for me.

I just think sometimes people should leave religon alone. You cant pressure someone into a diffrent belief. Its never going to work. Its going to shun them away.

  32. We all look out the window ignoring what's in the room.

My mood, my life, and my relationships changed for the better ever since I decided a couple of years ago to untie myself from any bad feelings I may have towards anyone for whatever reason.

Now I live to be happy and truly love myself. A minimalist and dedicated to seeing the people I love be fulfilled.

  33. A little note; the 80 grams of PETN explosive compound that the terrorist had and tried to detonate yesterday is serious stuff. Barely less explosive than the c-4 (RDX).

I used it to cut railroad lines, cut timber under bridges, make directional charges, take down (breaching) doors on hostage rescues, etc. It burns so hot that a piece as small as your toenail can boil a gallon of water.

Once again, it took a civilian to restrain a plot allowed to happen because of our complacency in matters of terror. Political correctness will be the end of all of us.

Give me a wire hanger and a pair of pliers and I'll teach this to sing soprano in less than an hour.

  34. Jarhead ~ I'm thinking the little bomber might be hitting the high notes about now. Heard he had the explosive in his undies and all it did was catch on fire. That could cause some major pain ;)

go over to The Market Ticker. Karl Denninger has a very interesting post up right now about this subject. Good read.

  36. Thank you for the link escrow.

It's true. "Overseas contingency operations" as the White House chooses to call terrorism is a joke. A bunch of virgins teaching about sex.

You want to win against a group of zealots?. Re-visit the end of WW2...

National Clandestine Service has an oversight panel!. Politicians are responsible for our woes. America for Americans and peace loving people who share our dream of free speech and pursuit of happiness.

Stop apologizing for America Mr. President. Apologize to America instead.

    Jarhead

    ReplyDelete
  37. Mr. President can't apologize to America. He would have to admit he was bought and paid for by Wall Steet before he even took the oath.

2010 should be interesting. 140 banks failed this year. How many in 2010? Whatever the number it won't be enough until the too big to fail come down.

Will the summer of rage happen in 2010? Will Americans wake up from the dumbing down?

I don't have any answers Jarhead. But I've done like you. downsize and removing myself from the financial grid. It's quite liberating after spending my life chasing the "American Dream" which includes that pointless FICO score.

  38. All the same guys that were causing the financial crisis in the Bush years are still in Gov. in the same position they held so miserably.

Politicians bailing out their buddies on the people's credit card. That is the reason I think this year will be a tide turner for both parties.

  39. I'm onboard with Jarhead and Escrow. I don't think there was a right choice for America during the last election, and I am wondering if this year is when it all hits the fan. Why were there no stipulations placed on the bailout of AIG? Why are the same troublemakers in office? Why were the banks and insurance bailed out, only to sit on the money and not lend to those who need it, in reasonable terms?
Why did we nearly have another terrorism disaster in our country?
All I know is, it seems we can not rely on our government to do what they are elected to do---serve the American people.

  40. You are a wise man Jarhead and I so enjoy agreeing with everyting you post. We just can't disagree on anything. It's probably the break in generations between us. LOL.

I know I have written here before who would be at the top of my list of criminals who didn't survive to the Obama administration. He seems to have fallen off the radar. He must have found his private island and dug in for the duration.

I can't wait for what's to happen next. It won't be pretty and Americans need to wake up realize that we are not ever going back to the lifestyle we have enjoyed for the last 50 years. America is broke and the debt can not be paid back.

I need to shut up now. All my friends call me Doomer Deb.

  41. Well, I'm christian too...but it just seemed to me that this woman is very controlling. Really sweet when she has things going her way. But, then uses her version of "God" to push her will and opinions on others. She has huge personal issues, and unfortunatly can't see what she's doing, especially claiming she's christian and somehow better than others. That is so wrong on so many levels.

It was nice to see how kind the other family was to her. It just shows that good people are good people regardless of their beliefs.

  42. This clip left me totally confused so I had to turn to Google to figure out what the hell she was on about. How incredibly sad that the little girl lost her young mother and now is in the care of that thing.
