HERE is yet another camera review, telling you how much digital bang you can get for your buck. I get so pissed off at these things. They're all over the net, every major publication has to do one of these product reviews and they act like they're the word of god and consumers are idiots. Even a tech tard like me know that if the programs don't work or aren't compatible with your computer, you have nothing. Review the GD software! A 5 buck camera from a dime store will work in theory, but, if you can't upload the damn photos, what good is it? I'm pissed..let me rant. Software that doesn't load, loads with bugs, or photo programs with a big ass load of crap that's not convenient is the problem, not the F'n cameras. How stupid do you have to be to miss the damn point, every time? If the programs don't work, you may as well make a pin hole camera out of a toilet paper tube. I hate these people. Both the idiot reviewers and the stupid camera manufacturers. Assholes.

"they give us all those nice bright colors" Kodachrome still rocked at my house till some asshole stole my camera at my yardsale.
I NEVER install the camera software for that very reason. I only do drag and drop files. I hate camera softwares with a passion, that's something you don't need if you have a graphics software you know how to use already. They just want you to be stuck with their junk and drive you crazy with their useless shit, and to send you all kinds of "updates" and "newsletters" and "third party offers" and clutter your mail.
DRAG AND DROP IS YOUR FRIEND! COPY AND PASTE TOO!
AND, I've always found cameras that run on AA's the most convenient. No need to worry about recharging batteries during a long trip, just keep a couple of pairs in the case and the rest in the car.
I agree with the battery thing.
