Today is the 5th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. But the strange thing was yesterday. It was overcast all day, with a strong cool wind blowing. Typical prehurricane weather! It was truly haunting. By this time 5 years ago, New Orleans was mostly flooded by 8 or more feet of water. The average level stayed around 4-5feet for a month! Some of you may have heard of Vince Vance before, but I think he is probably more local, so you may not know who he is. He wrote a song for the anniversary and it really is a good song. It won't ever hit #1, but it has a good Bourbon St. beat! Give it a listen.
At the end of the video, Vince's hair is as he used to wear it. Yes, it is strange, but that was his gimmick--it always amazed me!
My daughter has 2 gay friends in Indy. One is a psychologist, his boyfriend works at the same salon she does, he is in the reception area. Very funny, nice guy. Way younger than his older boyfriend. Or should I say fiance'. Anyways, they have a "Gay-Friendly" blog, duh. And have become quite the celebs. Partying with the likes of Adrian Grenier among others. Copm'd everywhere they show up. Their blog has really blown up and ranked in the top 10 gay-friendly blogs. I sent DD the link before. Anyways, they are filming a pilot for a "reality" show about them getting married & getting married. Said it IS very scripted and they are even making them have a "fight" on the 1st episode. Just to get ppl interested. Don't know if it will get picked up tho. I would totally watch those bitches! Heres the link to their blog. You can also "friend" them on FB. They are a crack-up! 1st thing Alex says every morning when he walks into the salon, is "Hey Bitches"! Cracks them up!! Check it out. rox
i have to add...my daughter has MANY, not just 2, gay guy friends in Indy & elsewhere. In her line of work, it is bound to happen. She attracts the gays anyways, always has. In school, all her BFF's were guys! All of which have since "come out"...i wonder why they were so drawn to her? She loves all peoples!! LOL!
