Everything here was going pretty smooth until today. My mother is seriously crazy. She wants 'us' to get a check to take care of Lissa. She got the neighbor involved and now her and this neighbor think this is a good idea. I told them no. That's not how this works and no one gets paid to look after my granddaughter.My mother called DHS and pretended to be me. She wanted them to send her a welfare check. There was mass confusion and I had to straighten it all out. My mother said, now you'll never get a welfare check. I told her to leave it alone. She's seriously crazy. When will people realize she's 100% bat shit crazy? She doesn't have Lissa..I DO. She is NEVER going to get a state welfare check for letting Lissa watch Sponge Bob with her after school! I am fit to be tied. And wtf is the neighbor involved for? She's crazy too, by the way, but, claims to know all the rules of the system. I said, the kids have a lawyer, I meet with them. I follow their recomendations and rules. The neighbor and my insane old mother think they know better than any lawyer. And welfare is free money!
I just have to calm down before I bust some heads. I have been dealing with this shit all my life. You'd think I could see it coming. I wish she'd get put in a home sometimes. I am so tired of this shit. Why why why does she start such chaos all the fucking time?

My mother would be like this but she's a fanatical christian and can't rationalize it most of the time. She's always looking for ways to beat the system and get rich. Then Jesus slaps her on the hand. (my father rolls his eyes and says no) It's kind of funny to watch the insanity. How come your mother has no issue with welfare scams, fraud and Jesus? She should be ashamed of herself!

You're lucky you don't live where I live. The child welfare people around here are just as crazy as your Mom. They take any call they get seriously, no matter how ridiculous. DYFS would have been at your door inspecting everything in your home. These people have ruined so many people's lives in this county. it's just astounding. I don't know how they get away with it. Usually, after everything is proved to be legit, they still have the right to butt into your life for a few more years.
The main social worker I deal with is totally cool. She's middle aged, smart and she doesn't listen to bull shit. She's helped me out. She knows when to bend rules and when something is just stupid.

My dad and my sister are insane too. Stark-raving mad. Sis is hooked on pain meds in a very bad way. Dad is just naturally crazed. It just sucks.
Man, I'm better now. But, jesus christ. I don't want anyone's finances disrupted, this is not a court case. There are no courts involved and that's how I want it to stay. I can't make my mother understand what's going on. GAAAAAAAAAAAAA.

I just finished reading a book written by Judge Judy...it's called "Don't Pee on my Leg and Tell Me It's Raining". The book is a collection of stories about her years as a family court judge and she talks pretty candidly about welfare and families that consider it free money.
Your mother should read the book then look in the mirror.
your mother may already have dementia dd. my mum (who turned 89 yesterday) has it so bad now that she cant hurt me anymore because she only eats and sleeps, doesnt even talk anymore ie insult and abuse me. i doubt that she even knows who i am. she was 'certified' last year and put into a nursing home. on reflection i think she started getting dementia years ago.
