That's the closest thing to my living room that I could find. That loft takes over, geez! My room is about three times the size of that room, so the loft only goes across the back wall. And blocks no windows. (I dunno how the hell you'd deal with that.)Mine is all finished in dry wall, trim and carpet. And my ceilings are vaulted and really high. I want to make it a room for Lis someday, but, I need a half wall and a proper stair. Only young people think lofts are cool. Old ladies see an eyesore and danger, Will Robinson, danger! I'm just glad my ladder is detachable, so I can take it down and hide it behind the sofa. It's called prevention and 'stay the hail away from that damn loft and what was your father thinking jebus criminey.'
I'm like Tonya, I love lofts. I think it's the kid in me---pull up the ladder and no one can get in. It's an indoor fort, a private area. If you could do that for Lis, she would love you forever---like she doesn't already!!! I'm older than you, but would you consider being my grandma? You have cool ideas!!!
Casey J...I have been wanting to tell you, I love that picture of Rocco. Is he a red nosed Boudreaux? He looks just like my Puppy (who is an 85lb.dog). Puppy's real name is Reef, but he will always be Puppy to me! Does Rocco drool a lot? Puppy can completely slime you in about 5 minutes.
I want to paint all my dark wood furniture and go shabby chic since that's the way it leans now anyhow. Then I'll take pics. It's a big weird mismatched room with a pole in the middle. I hate that fucking pole.
Bayou Jane: I'm not sure what Rocco is. He has the head of a pitbull and the body of a vizsla. He is tall and skinny, but his head is huge and looks just like a pit. He was dumbed when he was about 2 months old. Looked like a pit pup back then.
