That is art. Very well done. We don't 'celebrate' Halloween in Australia, but over the last few years there seems to have been a surge in halloween stuff in the dollar shops
Everyone come out to Hollywood Forever Cemetery for the giant Dios De Los Muertos celebration this year on Oct 28th. We celebrate on the gravestones of famous musicians and actors. People build giant Mexican shrines and we dance, eat and drink. Here is a pic of me and two of my friends from last year; this marks our 13th year of attendance. I am 3rd from the right. I have a guestroom (if you don't mind sharing it with the little lady ghost.)
Dear DD, I have sent the pix to your email. Come out one October and visit during Dios De Los Muertos; bring Lis. I have room. Feel free to post the pics here for other to enjoy; I still don't know how to add pics to a comment left here; if anyone wants to explain it to me, I would be much obliged. No one will ever take Halloween or Day of the Dead from me! Mary
Dear DD, Whew, I needed a cocktail and a lie down after reading all the posts today! I hope everyone sorts it; I DO admire the strong opinions coming from (all) the readers. And yes, I do miss Jarhead's posts. Hope you got the Day of the Dead pix I sent. Speaking of this wonderful time of year, I had some major activity in my place last night. Bathroom medicine cabinet opening and closing. Bathroom towel crumpled as if someone dried their hands. Downstairs, a small vintage Eskimo fan I keep in my living room was tucked under a George Nelson bench now that it's getting cooler at night, moved from under the bench and was sitting squarely in the middle of the foyer. My cats are not strong enough to move an electric fan! I went upstairs to the guest room (where the Bakelite record player sits) and noticed the window was open and it was cold in there. Do you think my little ghost lady was trying to tell me that she was cold in that room by going to the medicine cabinet, drying her hands and moving an electric fan? Or am I trying rationalize all the sum of these movements?
Awesome! I'd love one of those. Wish I had artistic talent. (damn kid has it all)
