Basically, Alabama senator, Shadrack ( I know) McGill says we shouldn't increase teachers pay because that will attract people who are not called to teach by god.Such words of wisdom by a senator. Look at him. He looks like he drinks Black Velvet and has a collection of bowling shirts. As for me, it's too bad god paid me more for bar tending than he ever did for teaching children. God's pay scale is messed up. Maybe Shadrack (oh load, that name) should have a word with god, since they seem to be such close friends. Or maybe we should pay all senators with bibles.

The same kind of mentality used to exist about nursing. We were told we would never be paid that much because "it's a calling" rather than a career choice. I guess we showed them on that one, though it's taken long enough.
