Xoloitzcuintli whatie?

Don't call mixed breeds mutt anymore. Today's wtf goes to the Xoloitzcuintli label for mixed breed dogs in D.C. "it’s not at all clear how listing a nonXoloitzcuintli dog as a Xoloitzcuintli—that’s pronounced show-low-eats-QUEENT-lee—will help anyone find anything."
THIS whole article is confusalating. Let alone that picture of a 'mutt.' ...which is no ordinary dog. I'd be like, aww, that poor half coyote has mange. What ever, I've taken in worse. Xoloitzcuintli sounds Aztec, doesn't it? Who's supposed to know how to spell that shit and WHY? It's a good lead in for getting someone to home a homeless dog though. Hey, he's a Xoloitzcuintli, no shit. Gotta have it.

After complaining the other day that I only find pregnant cats, yesterday I found a dog. She's a nice dog, real shy and scared. She's medium-large, white with brown and black spots. Sort of a hunting dog type, but, with way cuter ears. I think she's been car hit, her back leg is sore, but, not broken. I got her to come eat on the porch with a lot of coaxing. As soon as I can tame her down a little I'll find her a nice home. If I claim she's a Xoloitzcuintli it might be easier. Anyone need a nice dog? She doesn't bark.

Awww, I wish I could tae the dog, but we have a cat who REALLY doesn't like dogs. Plus the apartment complex expects to pick up all the dog poop, and I just can't do daily walks. A cat is just easier to have right now. I'm sure you can her a good home though.
