Unusual plants

Buzz Feed's very cool pictorial on unusual plants HERE. Some of them aren't unusual and grow wild here, I guess it depends on where you live. Some of them, I've never seen and I have to get my hands on them. The article is awesome, because it gives you links to where to buy the seeds and most of them are reasonably priced!
I want those Korchia Balls, they also come in hot pink. Wowza! I also want Passion Flower and Honeywort.

How pretty is that Honeywort? It seems to grow similar leaves to Honeysuckle. The purple part looks like Spiderwort. Hmm.

  1. Do like those green grassy balls. Korchia Balls, huh. I'll have to check them out.

  2. Pat, you have a green thumb like no other. I love seeing the pics of your garden and the things that you can grow.

I am currently reading a novel titled "The Language of Flowers" by Vanessa Diffenbaugh. I have just started the book - only on page 50, but I think it's a book you would enjoy reading. As I say, it's a novel with a good story to it, and the underlying theme is the language of flowers. I hope you can read it sometime.

  3. Both plants are pretty, but the 2nd one is exceptionally pretty. The colors are so strong. Did you notice what growing zone was for them?

  4. I didn't. I just assume anything exotic will be an annual here. I actually saw Oleander for sale here this year. I wanted one but they were 40 bucks. That's too much for what has to be an annual.
