Oh, an estate sale in a $5 million dollar mansion..everything goes!!! I couldn't wait to click it, I love things like this. What a load of crap. Even the big amiour has mirrors, eww. The brown leather furniture would be good in a library. How many people have a frickin' library? I could not find one thing I wished I owned. Even the house is..sort of fugly and I don't care if they tear it down. I saw that dancer statue thing and decided I could put that in the garden, even though I don't love it.

The place is small, for a celeb home, but, soooo cute. Look at that! I see lots of things I want in those pics. I want her metal trash can with the flowers on it. Yep, I covet Dolly Parton's trash can. I want all her cute patio furniture! I want her old upright piano. Wait, mom has one just like it. All I have to do is outlive her. Put that on my list of things to do. What do you think of Dolly's place? Oh, Natalie Wood lived there too! OMgosh..the ghost possibilites!
I like the shield that' next to the Impala horns. It looks like it could be cast iron. But I can't really tell. The car ain't so bad either.
ReplyDeleteOT...I walked out my front door this morning and walked right into a wasp. That SOB went straight for my nose. And not the outside either. I got stung inside of my nose. It seem like I inhaled strongly through my nose at the wrong. At first I thought I was going to pass out, but now it's not so bad---as long as I don't rub it. Wasp are always building nest on my front deck, the little bastards.

ReplyDeleteMan, those fucking wasps are mean and dangerous. Sorry you got stung, that is not fun. I've been looking at vids on how to kill them and their nests. I'm allergic and have to carry a hypo. I hate them.
I've tried the 2 liter bottle thing. Where you put some kind of sugar water/cola in the bottle with the top cut off and turned upside down. It doesn't work. These wasp like the deck and anything on it. I keep a can of wasp spray at my door, but I wasn't exspecting this. I have some salvia I want to plant. (This is the first time I've seen any around here since the bull about smoking it to get high.) But I'mm a little concerned about finding more wasp.

ReplyDeleteI am so sorry, Jane. That isn't funny to me. I know how much those things can hurt. It sounds like you're allergic too. I'd find someone who'd hunt out the nest for you and kill them. You shouldn't go near it. Damn @ the bottle thing. I have to try it anyway, but, away from the house. It sounds like it attracts them.
ReplyDeleteI already sprayed every nook and cranny on the deck. It was murder most enjoyed. I thought I had been keeping up with them. They came out of my watering can that I used 2 days ago and they weren't there. They are fast little buggers.
ReplyDeleteI would want the silverware. I have an addition to china, silver, etc. I get it from my mom. I love setting a pretty table and if I had the room, I'd have all sorts of dishware.
ReplyDeleteI would love to have all the cacti and succulents in and around Miss Dolly's home. LOVE all the big Barrels and Mexican Fence Posts and Suguaros. It takes years for the Barrels to get that big. You could have the house, DD. : D

I don't like Dolly Partons place it's too Chintzy and cluttered for me. The other house, I liked that big Chinese desk but it wouldn't even fit through my front door. ReplyDeleteBut they were on sale because no way could I afford $70 cushions on my house! They seem to about 20 pf them crowded on chairs and couches. It must be boring being able to buy what you like, when you like. No wonder they want to sell the lot and start again. Just imagine having to go to those lengths just to alleviate boredom!
Dolly's house looks just like her. Just a little place for her to be alone and peaceful. I doesn't look like your typical celebtity digs and I love the little outdoor section.
