This is amazing footage. The cat really is protecting 'his' child, there is no doubt here. Go cat! And F you big mean dog and the people who let you run loose!
I wasn't able to view this video, but yesterday, when the hubs came home, he went straight to the computer to show me. Since I was unable to view it here, I have to ask: Does this video show the damage that dog did to that boy? I just saw on TV they are going to euthanize the dog. Why not rehabilitate the dog, and kill the dog owners?
Cut, it does show the damage. It was bad and the dogs owners should go straight to jail. Can you rehabilitate a dog who would attack a child, unprovoked? I would never trust it, myself.
I honestly don't know, Pat. I guess my comment may have been a little flippant. I just seem to always think that a dog behaves that way because of bad owners. Either abusive or just plain irresponsible. Maybe not the case at all here. Just my snap judgment and the need to be mad at someone for a little boy being hurt and now, another dead dog. It makes me angry.
That dog really zeroed in on the little boy, didn't he? It looked like he saw and heard him from the other side of the car, and ran to the opposite side, and grabbed him without a moments hesitation. The way he yanked on him, and tried to drag him away gives me another perspective on "the dingo ate my baby". If a supposedly domesticated animal could do this, a dingo could make off with a tiny one in an instant. Horrifying. Maybe I'm missing something, but when the mom comes running out to her little guy, she checks on him, and then gets up and runs away, leaving the little guy to fend for himself. I'm sure she was telling him to come with her, but shouldn't she have helped him? Poor little guy untangled himself and got up to run. I watched this a number of times because it kept repeating on the news. The injuries looked pretty bad. That dog wasn't messing around. It's a shame the dog has to be put down, but who would really want to risk another go with that dog, when there has clearly been an unprovoked attack? Why was the dog out in the first place? They're lucky the dog only bit a leg, instead of the face or neck. Scarey, the lack of responsibility of many pet owners these days. Christina
Hi, my girlfriend pointed out the light "mist" in the video as well as a very noticible orb. I don't believe in that stuff, mostly because I'm scared of it. She said the little boy has a guardian angel or something like that. I don't know, what do you think?
The approach of the dog to the boy was strange. It just looked funny, like the dog stopped, looked, and then bit. But that cat took control of the situation and did a great job.
If the dog had not been wondering around loose, that would not have happened. I say shoot the owner and find a place in the country for the dog.
It looked to me like the "woman" was a young kid, does anyone know or was it the mum cause if it was it was weird the way she ran off & left the kid lying on the floor.
The neighbours have already put the dog down or will do 7 the boys parents have said they don't blame them so who knows what went on in the dogs head but that cat, wowza, talk about fearless.
It was odd how that dog zeroed in on the child. I agree. It was scary and creepy. I understand everyone who wants to give the dog another chance. I love you guys for the way you all love animals. I love them too, but, that dog would have been dead yesterday. That's just how my head works. I hate dogs who attack children unprovoked. Their heads aren't right.
Dat cat just followed them home one day too. Coincidence? But they were kind to it and gave him a home. That cat chose them, for a reason. That part is what got to me. That cat FOUND them and forced them to keep him because he was so darn precious and just a great cat. Who wouldn't? And now they just got paid back for their kindness. "Don't phuck with my kid!" Thats my kinda pet. Amazing and wonderful and somehow magical that it all came together the way it did. Poor baby, hopefully he won't scar much. being he's so young. That's a great feel good story. We all need that. And please don't feel so bad about the dog being put down. I love dogs so much too. But some are born just "wrong", inbred, many things. But they just are not ever right. He was just a mean dog. And would also kill your cute little pet dog, given the chance. He wasn't right in the head. It's sad, but not fixable either.
A friend of mine had to put his big dog down, after a neighbor claimed it killed their dog. 3 miles away. He was known to kill suqirrels and had blood on him from around that time. He was a kind, loving dog and saved me many times from the neighbors Husky bastard dog. Spock was a good dog. But his owner instead of making them prove he did it, took Spock out and shot him because he was told if he didn't have him put down, they would sue. He shot his own dog, for no reason, probably! Best dog ever too. He was a rescue and loving as you could ever wish for. Safe and good with kids and the family cat. No problems. But he shot him anyway. The entire family was mad at him and heart broken. It was needless. Spock didn't do it. And they had no proof. It sucked.

Glad the kid is ok.
Bubble at work
I wondered too, why the woman left the kid? Wouldn't you grab him up? Anyone know?
ReplyDeleteMist and orb? Where?
ReplyDeleteCut, you weren't flippant. I got you.

Okay, I DO see a mist, really weird. It's around the 26 second mark. I can't spot an orb, but, that was really odd! WTF is that!?
