Someone sent me this picture of an Iowa winter. Yep. That's exactly what it looks like when your pipes freeze and burst. Been there, done that..too many times. LMAO..it's such a bitch. I've had it worse than that actually. Once I had a bathroom covered with about three feet of solid ice. The first thing you do when you see this is grab an axe and chip out the water valve and shut it off. Then you call a plumber and promise him your first born child. And chip and haul. And scream and cry. And chip and haul. Ahhh, winter in Iowa is so beautiful.

ReplyDeleteI'm snowbound for day 2. CA got hit with a really COLD storm and we got 4 inches of snow yesterday and it's so cold that it won't melt. And then there's that shitty ice. We live on a hill and I don't know when I will be able to get out. We do have power though.
Everything's okay here. Schools are closed so I don't have to worry about Lis on the bus. Heats working, water is on. I'm cooking beans and bread and I have the holiday lights on. I'm a cozy wench today.

That weather is headed my way tonight and tomorrow. So far only a wintry mix and lots of rain in forecast. I hope it stays that way. Mmm. I am thinking some bean soup and bread for tomorrow would be nice.

ReplyDeleteI call it the little red snow plow..lol. I was one of the few who got out in the big ice disastor 2 years ago. I drove around town taking pics and picking up people stuck in SUV's and trucks.
