Gary Unmarried

Okay, got up early and spent some time watching clips from Gary Unmarried which will premiere September 24th. Synop.."The show is set where Gary and his ex-wife are recently divorced. They have two young children together, a boy and a girl. Gary comes to find out that his ex-wife is engaged to their marriage counselor. He is also beginning to date again, a girl who lies to him about being a single mother."

Jay Mohr is adorable and can usually make anything work, though this seems to be a sruggle. The kid who plays his son is really cute, he reminds me of reader Crystal's son when he was that age. (Waves to Crystal.) Anyhow, there are several clips on You Tube and the official site. I hope it works out, I'm a huge Jay Mohr fan.

Another Jay Mohr fan here. I'm always glad to see him working but his best character was as the bottom-feeding movie producer Peter Dragon in "Action" - Fox series in 1999. It just worked - tall blonde guy with the sweet face and nose job and slightly high voice who is utterly, wholeheartedly amoral.

Hires a prostitute (the awesome Illeana Douglas) as his assistant. When another assistant complains that he hired a whore, Peter says "No, she's my prostitute, YOU'RE my whore."
Some more great lines...

"Listen to these numbers: In 1987, 95% of all on-screen homicidal maniacs were played by white males. Whereas last year, 50% of on-screen homicidal maniacs were played by blacks, women, and Puerto Ricans. I, sir, am very proud of those numbers and their progress."

"When are women going to realize that no is one letter short of now!"

"What a cunning stunt." [Could not believe Fox let this through! In the context it worked even without the double entendre...Peter's been outfoxed by a woman.]

"Peter, any time someone tells Jews to get on a train, it's gonna be bad."

AA Member: "I had parasites in my stool and non-specific urethritis, but the important thing is: I didn't take a drink today."
Peter: "Holy crap! Why not?!?"

Re: "cunning stunt":
Remember when Chloe, in a Smallville episode, called someone a "cunning linguist"?
