Surprise...the Oscar list has been published and Dreamgirls is not in the best picture category. Did we really expect it to be? Brad Pitt's "Babel" is the favored runner along with..The Departed, Letters from Iwo Jima, Little Miss Sunshine, and The Queen. Narry a Dreamgirls in sight. However, Jen Hudson was nominated for best suppoting actress for her role in Dreamgirls. I find this all interesting only because I wonder if Beyonce Knowles actually thought she'd be nominated for something? Pffft. Maybe they should have stuck her in the animation category. Meow.
