Britneys manager has released this statement..
"Britney has been through a tragic thing that hopefully will never happen again, shaving her hair was a sort of therapeutic thing for her."
Other sources claim she was raped at a club. Others say she shaved her hair as a tribute to a deceased aunt who lost her hair due to cancer treatments. A couple of gossipists reminded us she did this before in her "Dream Within A Dream" tour, but, it was just a bald wig and make up. This time it's real and her hair will be sold on eBay. Unless Britney cares to tell us, or there's some crime report somewhere..I doubt we'll ever know why she did it.

Oh My God.
I can't believe I'm actually feeling my heart in a knot. The rape makes sense. The way she's been acting lately probably led to it. Or maybe she was raped before all the poon showing and she just gave up on herself. And the way it's said that she is "sick of everybody touching her", and just by looking at how dirty and uncared for she has been. Just tie the pieces together, as any rape victim can't stand being touched by anyone, and they are usually a mess on the aftermath. She looks way too sad and disturbed. Gosh I'm sad. I really am. I really hope that's not the case.

I've never been a fan but I find myself feeling sad for her lately. She does seem lonely and maybe is seeking attention. Maybe she is out of control but wants to like herself. She still has fans and she needs to find out what she wants in life. Just be a good mom to those boys and everything else will fall into place.

I go for a more basic explanation doing the rounds. Britney is currently in a custody battle with K-Fed over their kids. He told her he would ask for drug tests on her and said they would be able to tell what she had been taking by analysing her hair. Britney panicked and rushed out to get her hair shaved off so they could not test it for drugs in case it went against her in the custody case. Makes sense to me.
