What's in?
According to ELLE, shimering tops are in. Note I said shimering not sequined hooker tops. They do look good with anything from jeans to business suits. The hot colors are bright yellow and cobalt.
The ParAss and Nicole giant insect look is OUT (aren't you relieved?), replaced by sleeker retro shades. I can live with that.
A trend I've seen on a lot of celebs is the hot old hippie coats for Spring. They look like something the Beatles gf's would have worn back in the 60's and they're still cute as hell. I like Elle mag because they do fashion for everyone and make it easy to see what's up for the season. I love the high art of the Paris runway, but, let's face is, us commoners are not actually going to wear that stuff. I can see finding a similar coat from the real era in a retro shop. Or, applying the decorations myself to a similar style.

Love the jacket! Sadly I'm not twenty-something and 6'...not sure I could pull it off.
My favorite coat of that era is the one Richard Grant wore in the movie "Withnail and I". I can't wear that look successfully, though, because my hips are too big. You have to be a bean pole to carry it off - like Grant.
