Bad habits die hard

Victoria Beckham not only lets son Cruz suck a pacifier, he's also still on the bottle. Cruz is four years old. Any comments on this?

Note: My bad..that IS Cruz, but he was born 20 February 2005. Hey, he's big for his age. Sure got you guys riled up though. Heh.

Moral of the story: Not only are celebrities not perfect...they're really probably more fucked up than the rest of us.

I wouldn't be surprised if SHE still sucked on a pacifier...and was still on the bottle. She looks like she's walking on stilts...quick someone catch her before the wind blows her away!!!!!!!!!

..personally i think the sooner a baby is off the bottle the better..i had Ashleigh completely off the bottle at 8 months..if they are capable of pickin up a cup/sippy cup and drinking from it wtf do they need a bottle for? Ash had a pacifier until she turned 2..tried to take it away sooner than that..but she 'needed' it at nite..for that whole babies need to suck for comfort reason..never used it during the day once she turned 1 ..the nite b4 she turned 2..i went around the house and gathered up all the pacifiers and tossed them..next nite she started lookin for one and when she couldnt find them because SHE 'lost' them..she was fine and hasnt mentioned them since..but i guess some ppl feel the need to keep their kids babies and not let them progress

I wouldn't call it super mom, just some common sense. I can't STAND it when I see kids that age sucking on those damn things. Makes me cringe everytime! Nobody is perfect, but lets be serious.

em, why not?

in former times women breast feeded the children until they were three or four. So sucking on 'something' is natural for human childs age two or three.

But apart from that - I am sure Posh's childs will never stop drinking from the bottle. The bottle will change and the stuff they are drinking, but not the drinking itself.

WOW 4 years old and still on a pacifier and bottle - that boy is going to have lots of problems I think.

at 4 years old he should be off both and in preschool.

Is going to be detrimental to his health and his teeth in future years

As a momma leave that momma alone you all don't know about someone's else kid and what they are like ...so mind your own kids. not someone else's. You ain't THEIR MOMMA.

i'm far from 'super mom'..i'm just stating the obvious is all..when a child is capable of picking up a cup and putting it to their mouth and taking a drink..there is no NEED for a bottle anymore..it then becomes the parents NEED to baby them and feed them a bottle..i feel the same way about breast feeding and i gave my daughter breast milk well past the one year mark..however i did so by pumping and freezing it and putting it into a cup for her to drink..which to me made more sense than having my child attached to me 24/7 and not being able to feel safe and secure with me 10 feet away from her..and as crystal stated..bottles and pasifiers both are bad for a childs teeth..bottles more so than passies cause of the milk/juice sitting in the mouth while the child isnt swallowing..their need for sucking as a soothing technique is something i have always been completely aware of which is why i allowed my daughter to have her passie until she was 2..but to be quite honest..that 'need' goes away b4 they even turn two..and they just want to do it because they're use to it..you can trade a passie with something else to comfort them..like a stuffed animal..or a blankie and they will very quickly transfer the need from one to the other..since my daughter only needed her passie at nite..she took up with a 'nite nite bear' and sleeps with him..and he tends to not cause an over bite ;)

It's well known a pacifier is better than sucking thumb, or are you supermoms gonna chop them off? Otherwise he'll just do that an ruin his teeth in advance

Before you all judge Victoria ... how about checking your facts? That's not the 4 year-old, it's Cruz and he's only 2!

And no offense Mir, but those kids have a lot more to deal with than your average toddler. So whatever gives them additional stability when they're dropped off alone somewhere might be good.

Also, the "disability" you're looking for is Romeo's epilepsy. Different kid...

If that child is only 2 then whats the biggy? Sucking on a bottle at night after a child has teeth can ruin their teeth. Lots of ppl suck their thumbs until they go to school or later & no problems occur. But if he's just 2, lay off! Besides who cares anyway>I wish I had her tiny ass!! :(

actually, dental problems do occur form thumb sucking..which is where pasifiers come into play..they cause less problems than thumb sucking..but they still cause problems none the less..they're just not as bad as the thumb because they have been designed with the help of dentists

Wow Mir, Ashleigh sounds like a dream child. I bet you attend all the mother's groups and sit there spouting. you sound so "text book", give some slack. Let children be children and move on at their own pace. My daughter got rid of her pacifer early but my son hasn't, and it's no big deal. By the way, Victoria looks fantastic!
