There's a story going around which claims Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens are going to star in a movie about the life of Donny and Marie Osmond. I seriously cannot think of anything I want to see LESS than Zac and Vanessa unless it's Donny and Marie. That Donny and Marie show was painful and uncomfortable. They tried so hard to be Sonny and Cher, but, they were brother and sister..it just didn't work. It lacked the sexual tension..thank goodness. She was a little bit country, he was a little bit rock and roll...oh geyawd. The result was a little bit poo. And I was young, but, still old enough to realize that Donny claiming to be a little bit rock and roll was embarassing. Let's just not do this, kids, okay?

That show was like eating cotton candy, it just was air & sugar'd fluff. Then there was nothing there. It was silly & a kids version of Sonny & Cher, DD u r right about that. But they were on the air for several years. But I'm with you, we've all seen this chick nakey now, please don't make us have to pretend she's Marie! Thats just wrong. It's been done, we don't need a repeat.
Donny went on to be a succesful Broadway star, Marie is making dolls for QVC. I like Donny and Marie, but, I can't see that their life story would be interesting at all AND 'specially not with Zach and Vanessa in it. How are we supposed to pretend those two are siblings and not two plastic people who've screwed? They don't act well enough for me to ignore that. Ick.
i am sitting at my puter looking at the Donny and Marie playset i just got a few weeks ago at a flea market!!!!!

I actually liked the Donny & Marie show lol. STOP LAUGHING lol
But honestly i'm with DD on the idea that knowing these two are in a relationship & all the nudies that have come out recently, just wouldn't translate well to the screen as brother and sister.
However I dont agree on one thing. the whole mormon conservative thing aside, both Donny and Marie have had intresting personal lives and struggles that alot of people could relate to.
They've been through alot and remained decent kind human beings in a industry that doesn't exactly promote or support it.

Only difference is Marie didnt show her hairy beaver off to the world like Vanessa did, nasty slut that she is.
