I get what Will was saying. Although we all know what Hitler did was fucked up, If you asked Hitler himself, he genuinely thought he was making the world better. In his twuisted little pyschotic mind... Anywho, I understand what Will meant.

Actually if you take even a survey psychology course, one of the basic things you learn is that people have an overwhelming drive to reconcile the things they think, do, etc with the basic principle that they're not bad people. Now Hitler wasn't exactly *normal* but the millions of Nazis effectively were. Psychological studies performed in the 1950s demonstrated that the average American will give a near lethal shock to another test participant if a guy in a white lab coat (authority) is persistent enough. Humans are sheep. So if one really loud mouthed person says black people are not people and are suitable as property and another loud mouthed person says that the only way to get your country out of dire financial straits is to execute the disabled due to being too expensive to take care of and that the jews are responsible for your crushing poverty...sometimes people listen en masse. As far as Hitler himself...well he probably believed his own bullshit as well.

Hitler was very aware of what he was doing, he built the ghettoes and the concentration camps and made a very German system of identification for everyone's racial and sexual tendencies. Pedophiles are also aware of what they are doing, so are serial killers.
