The Spice 1

The Spice Girls got a plane named after them...The Spice One. Forget the name, wtf is that design? Does the giant cartoon chick have three arms? Is she saying "Come drink and fly with me" or "Get humongous implants bigger than your head!" Why does she look like Tori Spelling??

They shoulda just painted some huge red chili-peppers on the side. They really are spicy! This pic looks Hollywood retro 40's style. Nothing to do with The Spice Girls 2.0!!! It makes zero sense to me. Stupid. Branson can paint w/e the he** he wants on his planes tho, even Tori Spelling I am guessing.

Here's the scoop: The "retro lady" mural on Spice One has nothing to do with the Spice Girls. (surprise!)

In 2006, VA introduced the new mural, a pinup girl motif designed by British artist Ken White, and titled the “Scarlet Lady”. Each aircraft carries a Union Flag and has a unique name. The names are usually feminine, such as Ladybird, Island Lady, Ruby Tuesday, etc.

This mural is found on most Virgin Atlantic aircraft, although they are generally smaller in size and usually found closer to the nose of the aircraft.

On "Spice One", there is a small photo-mural of the "Spice Girls" in addition to a much larger mural of the "Scarlet Lady".

((And she DOES look like Tori Spelling!))

btw... in the "Spice One" photo, you can't see the Spice Girls "image"-- only the actual girls themselves.

(I'm searching for another photo where it's visible)
