does anyone else read Vanity Fair?? in the newest issue they have Jayne's daughter (i always forget her name) acting 3 emotions [running feature] and one of the scenerios she has to 'show' is going to your mom's hospital room knowing they are going to die....i found that pretty insensitive to her....
i'm sorry but DUH! anyone should know who that is, and how unbelievably F*CKED up her death was - Hollywood Babylon to the fullest... And I love her daughter on L&O SVU but can't spell her name for shit. her son is adorable too.

For sure it's Jayne Mansfield and yes, even though I was a kid when she died, I still remember all the horrible details about the crash that were reported, true or not... she lost her head, her poor little dogs were dead, even the rumour of the ambulance driver or helper snipping off her nipples...gag.

OMG! I know the stretch of hwy she was killed on too. I used to live there. I was upset when she died. She was partially decapitated from what I know about it. They accidentally drove under a truck or semi stopped because of thick fog & her daughter was asleep in the back set laying down & uninjured. Was that Mariska? Lonnie Anderson & Ah-Nold played her & her husband Mickey in a great TV movie back in the 70's or 80's. Good one!

She wasn't decapitated. I thought she hit her head so hard on the windshield that her hair and part of her scalp were IN it.

Mariska could look more glamourous if she wanted to, but i kinda like that shes comfortable in her own skin and doesnt feel the need to glam it up for the sake of the paps and hollywood in general.

Funny you posted this. I was googling famous women with high IQ's or reportedly high IQ's, and I came across Mansfield's bio. I had no idea Mariska was her daughter, before then.

she died in a blue car wid sum of her kids....her cars still preserved in sum highway museum.
Her career had taken a downturn when she died & she had been doing club appearances, no more movies. Just trying to survive. Very sad ending.
