Dawg needs a home

Dawg showed up a couple of weeks ago and he needs a person. This isn't one of those animals that is a "feel so sorry for them story" that your guilt makes you try and help them..he's just a good dog. I don't feel all that sorry for him because he doesn't feel sorry for himself. He's pretty happy but looking for a home.
*
He's not a pup, so he won't pull any of that annoying baby stuff on you and he doesn't need training. But, he's not old either so you'd have him a long time. He doesn't beg, he doesn't whine, he's friendly but not obnoxious. He would never jump on you or give you the sad eyes. He thinks his job is guard dog, that's what he wants to be. He's smart, he's already learned who all belongs out here and who all doesn't and he barks when strangers come, but only a warning..not that all night barking shit. He's intimidating but not dangerous. You'd never have to worry about Dawg getting you in trouble.
*
He likes it outdoors, he doesn't want to be inside. He likes kids, other pets and he ignores livestock. He's just a good dog and all he needs is a dog house and a meal everyday. You KNOW he's getting a meal. Heh. He sleeps out in the ice right now. And he doesn't seem sad about it. So, if you are near the SouthWest Iowa area and you need or want a genuine GOOD dog..contact me at flying_buttress@hotmail.com

That IS sad. I wish I lived nearby.

I second that.

I wish I could keep him, but, pets aren't allowed. He's too smart for the dog catcher.

ps....this is a large dog with a massive head and jaws, some scars on the face, but, he's not mean. I promise. He has dignity.

he looks like a good friend for Molly, but we're too far away :(

no non-profit, no-kill group in the area??

he had to have come from someone....if someone dumped him they have a special place in hell waiting for them....

Yeah, he was dumped..in January. That's a ticket to Hell. He was all skinny with hs ribs jutting out, but, now he's filled out and quite handsome.

What a strapping young man! Someone is going to be very lucky to have him as an escort. Does he still have his balls?

Your a nasty pig anon: 12:56 - why would you ask if he still has his balls? Do you? Fucking idiot.

maybre it was just anon's way of asking if Dawg has been de-sexed. it IS important. DD keep us posted on Dawg. Why don't you keep him? He can protect you from your seriously weird neighbours.

Dowg does indeed have all his parts. He's also found shelter with a kind neighbor who lets him sleep in the camper shell in his backyard. Not ideal, but, he's okay and I continue to feed him.
