Dowg is gone, he found his person. A young guy in a pickup truck, he looked like a part time farmer, the truck had a hay bale in it and some farm looking tools. First he came out here and just sat in his truck and looked at Dowg, while Dowg looked at him. Then he brought him McDonalds and they got friendly. Dowg likes McDonalds and pickup trucks. I have no doubt it was Dowgs choice and I trust his judgement. I'm real glad because it's 10 below zero here with a wind chill of about 40 below. Thought you'd all want to know. Goodbye Dowg..have a good life, buddy.

Now what the heck am I supposed to do with all this dog food?
Give to the Grease Brothers? Maybe they can grill it.
Auww good for Dowg. Hope he has a long happy life =)
AWWWWWWWWWWWW I'll miss him!
I hope he's truly happy
I'm sure there will be another critter. Like someone else on here said..I attract them because I'm a sucker. Wonder what it will be? Sick badger? Orphaned mink? Ya never know.
Good luck Dowg! We will miss you.
Eve
I am soo glad for Dawg. Hope he'll have a good life!
Hooray for Dawg! He seems like the pick-up truck type.
too bad. i was hoping dawg would find a better home. i'm sure the guy is doing it out of kindness but mcD's is bad for us. for a dog it's even worse. hopefully it's not the norm. they both need good food or they'll just get ill & die way too young
Oh, let the dog enjoy his burger and fries, spoilsport!
yay! congrats to dowg!
Hooray, for Dowgs person...
Mc D's may not have been the best thing for him, but neither is 10 degree weather.
Bottom line; Dowg needed a warm place to sleep and the comfort of knowing where his next bowl of kibble is coming from... and that it would be coming at ALL.
After all, he's no spring chicken.
Bless ya, Dowg! Have a good life. {{{hugs}}}
And Thank You Dish, for looking after/looking out for him!
10 BELOW. That farkin' COLD. I tried to get him to come in, but, he wouldn't. Hopefully he has a house now or a nice barn.
Holy shite! 10 BELOW with a *40* below wind chill factor!?!
I guess I missed that... I've been too busy whining about a little rain and 50 degree temps here in LA.
Anyway, if you couldn't tempt Dowg indoors... (and we all know how tempting you are.. lol) I sure hope Mr. Pickup Truck was more successful.
Is it possible that Dowg may have been "living rough" for years and is more acclimated to variances in his diet and temperature extremes?
