Words out that ParAss Hilton was mighty ticked off at Nicole Richie for giving away a crib she bought her to charity.

Sources at Star: When… Paris Hilton gave BFF Nicole Richie and her fiancé, Joel Madden, an expensive crib from L.A.’s Petit Treasor, she was offended to learn that the expectant parents gave it away to charity! “Paris sent them a crib for their baby. It was very expensive, and she was mad when she heard they gave it away,” a source tells Star. “Paris told Nicole, ‘This isn’t something you give away to charity!’” But Nicole already has furniture for the baby’s nursery that her dad, Lionel, bought for her.

ParAss Hilton is so strange. You don't buy a crib for someone unless they ask or hint to you. That's a pretty important piece of furniture that you have a long time and sometimes save forever. Does ParAss actually think that her taste should be forced on everyone?? I'll bet it had ho house leopard print satin curtains and a tiny stripper pole.

Especially if Lionel bought them furniture including a crib - there is no way they are going to get rid of that one. I agree, a crib is a personal preference and once you give a gift - that person has the right to do whatever they want with it - it was nice that Nicole/Joel were helping a family that probably couldn't afford a crib like this.
Like Paris even cared! It didn't match her furniture & she wanted the one her dad gave her. Big deal. If she wasn't so rich they would probably have just given it back so she could return it. But Paris can afford a little charity. I thot that was her new motto anyway? Liar! She's selfish! And wants accolades for buying that crib & now won't be getting any! Haha!
I hate to admit it, but I can *almost* understand how Paris felt. And any of you must admit you'd be a little hurt-- if not offended if it happened to you. Even though it's 100% true that the gift she chose was RIDICULOUS.
And Paris certainly should have kept her mouth shut when she discovered the crib had been given away, but I do think Nicole/Joel were wrong to just donate a super-expensive gift like it was a pack of onesies!
If I had been given an expensive (yet useless to me) baby gift from a friend who I at one time considered FAMILY-- I would have explained the situation with the baby furniture. Perhaps they could have returned the crib in lieu of something the baby could have really used.
In any case, it's a draw as far as I'm concerned. They were BOTH wrong. Nicole for donating the costly gift... and Paris for opening her pie-hole about it.

Who buys a crib? And often it's a family piece. That's 2 personal.
Don't they have gift lists in America? Where you can simply pay what you want out of things the parents chose?
In the end Paris is doing charity.. Who knew! :)
