Heath Ledger...cause of death


The New York City Medical Examiner has ruled that Heath Ledger died accidentally, “as the result of acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam, and doxylamine.”

Heath's body was flown back to his hometown of Perth, Australia where he will be laid to rest.

I am not an expert but it's a common knowledge that opiates should not be mixed with benzos.

why was he taking so many perscription drugs? Did he have a few different doctors or something and been given a bunch - if this was from 1 doctor - I surely would be looking into this if I was his family.

Yes, he had a Dr in London, where he was last filming prescribe meds for his pnuemonia & he already had other meds he was taking for the insomnia. Then he left the filming to go home to recover. & then 3 days into that, he died. Thats what I heard anyway.

R.I.P Heath..You will be missed.

I can only hope that his death is an example of what happens when you mix drugs. What a sad ending to a promising young man.
