Jada and Will brought along butt buddies Tommy Girl and Robot Kate because Tom wants to be a black woman, or an Asian woman, or any kind of woman. WTF is the "essence" of a black woman? If it's a perfume, I'm not craving it after looking at Jada. Here's where I'll get my ass kicked. Aren't we past all this black and white crap? Really? If you aren't someone who caused a change during the civil rights movement (stand up Rosa Parks!) then wtf are you grinning about and accepting goofy awards? I sure as hell don't want a white woman award just because my female anscetors couldn't vote and had to give birth every 9 months while they traveled in a covered wagon fighting indians and cooking squirrel meat over camp fires. Wait, I'm part indian, I need to refuse a Native American award too (those chicks had it rough). Anyhow, you get my point, no matter the scatter. There's too many damn awards these days and too many based on color which shouldn't matter to anyone with half a brain. Plus, what's Pinkett done lately besides scare the shit out of us with her rockin' Grace Jones on steroids imitation?

Any excuse for Tommy & Katie to be in a pic & get noticed esp because they have black friends. This is such a lame event. There have sooo many hollywood awards given out lately that you can't keep track. For crissakes some foreign country even gave The Blow one. They must be running out of ppl to give those cheap stautes to. Jillion dollar dinners...what a waste. They could really use that money for good instead of feeding these bilionaires that can damn well afford their own groceries.

Jada Pinkett has always been incredibly obnoxious. I remember once, a few years back, with all her I'm tough cause I'm descended from slaves, ghetto bitch attitude, she looks right in the camera and says "black women look better than white women with their hair bleached blonde." She was attempting to explain her recent attempt at blonde hair, which in her case made her hair turn orange. She looked and sounded completely ridiculous.

basically Jada was given an award because "Mr. Smith" told them to give her one. "Essence" is a snooty black magazine,(www.essence.com)a bunch of cliquey ass-kisses obviously wanted to be in with Will and his "crew" and needed an excuse to throw a big fancy, over-priced shindig so they came up with this shit. I'm sure the proceeds went to the NAACP or some crap. Ok, the "Fresh Prince" did well, but to force his mediocre spouse on us, by claiming fake achievements is insulting and embarrassing.

We'd be hearing screams from Al Sharpton if they tried to throw a "Essence of White Women in Hollywood" shindig. This is reverse racism. We tolerate it because we are still made to feel guilty about the past. It's not a blatant guilt trip, but it's there. Otherwise the whites could have the White College Fund & White History Month etc. But we can't 'cuz white ppl's is bad! Now I'm pissed.

I'm not supposed to admit it, but I am completely in agreement with Anon 11:32:00. This IS a hypocritical form of reverse racism, but how to fix? What would be wrong with French Hugenot week? Nothing! I would like to hear more about the Hugenots, got any cool food? Let's add it to the so-called "melting pot"! I'm all for it, but how can you do it?
