I can understand why Scott's reality show is a hit. I've just seen it for the first time because I'm getting free cable. Let me repeat those beautiful magikal words..FREE CABLE. Yeah, all I pay for is very basic because I'm cheap and moneys usually tight and out here where I live there's only one cable game in town. Take it or leave it..but, they suck. They're overpriced, have a retarded mean help staff and they're unreliable as Hell. So last week I hit a wrong combo of buttons on my clicker and holy moly!! I get all kinds of stuff. I get WE, Discovery, History,VH1, Sci-FI (Jason and Grant are so hot on the big screen) music channels, the food network (my fav), movie channels..I even get stations in languages I can't speak, but, I watch 'em anyhow.

Let me tell you something, I am now the kind of person who will drive back to the gas station in a deadly ice storm to return an overpaid dollar in change. It's not about morals..it's about karma. People, karma WILL kick your ass and my ass is finally healed. But, I am NOT paying for this cable. These cable bastards have ripped me for decades. You all know how I lose my comp connection all the time, sometimes for days..they still charge me for those days, so FUCK THEM. I figure karma is finally working FOR me this time. Karma has thought about it and said the DirtyDisher deserves some good TV. And if any of you turn me in, I will hunt you down like a rabid dog!

Gawd, I love TV!! And I love Scott Baio..last night he bought a years worth of diapers for his new kid, not even realizing the kid will grow out of newborns in a couple of months..too funny. I love this show.

i just don't get any kind of cable and rent dvds from netflix....i figure i'm on the puter enough to read news....
There's always You Tube..I've found a lot of shows there.
I like Scott Baio too. I've watched his show, it doesn't suck. But when is it on? I've only caught it a couple of times. He's still cute isn't he? & his wife/GF isn't all that great. So, I think thats cool. After he has dated Playboy girls etc. he ends up with a kinda average chick. But who knows, she may have been in Playboy at 1 time as well. I dunno. She isn't that great tho. But thats why I like him. At least Chachi didn't end up with Joanie! That bugg eyed weird-o chick from Happy Days. They lost their virginity to each other tho. HaHa!! Anyways, I will have to see when this show is on so I don't keep missing it. It's cute. Hopefully the reality show couples curse doesn't apply here, but it probably will.

The Food Network is my favorite too!!!!!!! Well at least you got cable high speed internet. I still have to suffer with dial up, but hey at least it's free where I live ( through nocharge).
And we are two of the few people who have a tree antenna....we don't have dish or dtv or comcast. Just good ol' local network picked up by a tree antenna...29 channels, 12 of them are hi def.
But as long as we keep getting our weekly fix of House, Bones and Sarah Connor on HiDef, cable tv is really not needed.

Dish, (and MissTia) took the words right out of my mouth! It really IS that way... everywhere. I'm in Los Angeles-- TimeWarner story here too, right down to the "mean help staff and unreliable as hell". I gave up long ago and stopped bothering to complain. That's sad, but I don't need the aggravation!
It's so bad that we'll only pay for basic cable-- and we wouldn't have that if my hubby didn't need his Nascar fix on weekends.. lol
Like Tia, I get what I want from Netflix and the 'puter! And it's amazing what you can find on YouTube-- shows galore! I've watched every ep of "To Catch a Predator".
