Damn weather

Yesterday was so nice. It may not look like it in the top pic, but, it was. All the kids were out playing in T-shirts, I turned the heat off and everyone opened their windows to air out. It was the first real break we've had since November. Piles and piles of downed trees and limbs are stacked for the haulers as far as the eye can see, but, it was warm. And we saw pavement and brown grass. The giant piles of ice were still sitting around, but, they were melting, causing a river in the streets that the local children were floating paper and stick boats down and laughing.
*
About 8 pm it all changed. The nice breeze coming in my window turned to cold harsh ice pinging then slamming against the glass. Not hail either, just chunks of weird cold ice blown by a frigid mean wind. Then it snowed. Then it blew more ice, then it snowed some more. Oh, well, still better than August in Iowa..trust me.

Don't feel too bad for all the trees..in Iowa the weather is so extreme we have a couple of months in the summer where things grow like a jungle. You can actually sit out and watch things grow right in front of your eyes..if you can stand the hellish humid heat. By next September no one will know we lost half our trees. I wish someone would tell these snow removal morons that we have to have access to sidewalks and parking lots. Sure you can get your car out, bitch, if you can climb over a 16 foot pile of frozen shit. I think they amuse themselves by piling ice and snow like that. They need to get the net or learn to masturbate.

it's 50 here right now (9AM) and is suppose to get to 60 today...then it's suppose to rain, then get down to like 30, turn to sleet and eventually turn to snow and go to 17---all in 24 hours!

so ohio is going to get what you got yesterday....

mother nature is menopausal!

60's here in Indy y'day & today. Then tonight it's going to rain like a monsoon & an ice/sleet storm starts around midnight tonight. Snow is better than ice. Ice can get you killed if you have to drive on it.

MissTiaJournal.. exactly my thoughts soon as I read this post. What is yours today will be ours tomorrow. It is beuthiful sun and temp of 66. Windows open and I am loving it. But, we will get your ice and snow by tomorrow. In Cleveland, if you don't like the weather, stay around for 24 hrs and it will all change! and, talk about the summer humid heat... Several years ago we went to upper northwest Washington...Olympia Nat Park. They were complaining bitterly about the heat. It was 83 and dry. We couldn't beleive it as we thought it was beautiful! All a matter of what you get used to!

the problem the guys are taking to clear all the snow is because they are TOO BUSY Masturbating lol.

Great pic's - don't you just love how you get a glimmer of hope then BANG it snows and gets cold again lol.

We had snow here too, but just a tiny bit, but it was colder and the weekend here was beautiful here too.

The way you describe the weekend, I would swear you were across the street from me lol :)

It appears that DD might not be online...again. The weather usually knocks her internet out. Or is she at work? I dunno. Just checking.

wow.. and I'm often complaining about the weather over here.
While it's nice in the spring, often nice and warm in the summer, we have winter (not too harsh) and we have nice colourfull fall. I wouldn't like to live in a place where there are no seasons.
As I compare, Belgium ain't the worst place to live :)

Miss Tia... I live in Lakewood. So, escape the really bad snowstorms for the most part.

However, it is raining, but is just below freezing. So, we have about an inch of frozen slush on the ground. My dogs slipped and skid trying to walk on it! It will freeze tonight when the temp goes down.

Glad to hear from someone who lives in my backyard!
