The new face of LV

64 year old Kieth Richards is the new face of Louis Vuitton. I think it's a good move. Everyone knows LV only looks good if it's aged and beat up. Kieth is an interesting face and much better than some photoshopped twit.

As a rule, I couldn't give a rat's fanny about Louis Vuitton or any other designer crap. But I'm impressed by their sense of humour and their ability to step out of the box on using Keith Richards. This sick obsession with youth and beauty has gotten completely out of hand. It's nice to see someone like Keith being acknowledged for his honest-to-god talent, which most celebs these day do NOT have, and for his longevity and commitment to making music. Way to go, Keith!

his face tells many stories. If only we could read it, deep inside. I love this guy & I respect his honesty about his life and his past. Very cool old dude. This will be an awesome campaign for them. Very hip & cool. This could work. I don't own any of their luggage but I did pick up a LV purse at a garage sale once. It's real. I don't think some people care once they tire of something. They can get the latest model. Will this be on TV or just print ads? Cuz the USA we don't see LV ads on TV here. But in mags I think we do. Very cool idea.

I had my first "slow dance" to Sweet Lady Jane and can still remember it. Paint It Black made me cry when I realized what it was about...I've seen the Stones live twice in my life, once when they were young and once when they were much, much older. They are still totally amazing, old, HONEST faces and all. I think LV's choice of using Keith is great. Will be interesting to see how it works out.
