I have a 17 m.o. son. And, I know that there are alot more pressures these days on our kids, boys and girls alike. But, I think there are so many more on females.
This is just an example of early pressure to look cool and hot placed on young girls.

We all know Beyonce's background - how the parents are so very involved, yadda yadda. I think "Play Barbie" Mom and "Puppet Master" Dad must have had some weird action in their pasts. Dirt must be dished.
I'm all for kids playing dress-up, but this is a bit much! "Mommy, when I grow up I wanna be just like that lady on 23rd street. Boys like her and give her presents!"

It's nice that they are so in touch with reality! When I was that age, I mostly wore only Levis or Toughskin Jeans (The ones with the double-ply knees) and sneakers. My life would be so much different today if I had the House of Deion at my disposal. And if someone had applied makeup to me as an infant. It's great to see money being spent wisely!
Ewwww. I have a four year old nephew and a baby neice and they are cute as in their real kids clothes. I am sure that their mum would never dream of dressing them up like this.
