Mariah Carey did NOT get a used ring

THAT is MC's ring, given to her by Nick Cannon. It is not a second hand ring. The other ring, the one he gave his ex-fiance looks similar, huge, square cut, but, Mariah's 17-carat square emerald-cut, light-pink diamond center stone has 58 pink diamonds and two half-moon diamonds on each side. It was designed by Nick and Jacob & Co. at a cost of 2 and a half mil.

If I run into another photo of the other ring, I'll stick on this post so you can see. I forgot to save it. Anyhow, I knew this rumor had to be bogus. Giving Mariah Carey a used diamond would be the equivalent of someone giving one of us used underpants or a "gently used" maxi pad. PLEASE! It aint happening.

So are they married or not? I'll wait for a statement from her slaves..err, reps. As for that second photo, that's old, a costume party, but, isn't that more like what we expect?

Slightly used maxipad? Aaaughh!- My Dad called tampons "man-hole covers" once. He said that is what they called them at the PX.

Exactly!!! I mean "Drumline" was a long time ago. MTV doesn't pay that well either. I am with MissTia, she got the ring she wanted, so she probably had to pay for it or be embarrassed by what he could afford. She gets what she wants. He probably traded that other ring in anyway. Maybe it was a downpayment on this one? Like, on lay-away? LMAO!!!! Is there even such a thing as lay-away anymore? Too funny!

I GIVE THE MARRIAGE 3 DAYS

Nick Cannon's not a "nobody" by a long-shot... but his net worth is nowhere *neeear* that of MC. He's not even playing the same sport. DIDDY, yes. Cannon, NO.

misstiajournal & anon 9:24 are right... MC HAD to have paid for her own ring. Where have we heard THAT before? Hmmmm?

It doesn't matter if you're rich or poor, young or old, famous or unknown... if there is this type of "inequity" in a new marriage-- particularly where the woman is the more "moneyed" partner-- you're pretty much doomed from the start.

She's essentially emasculated the guy. They're in the heady "honeymoon" phase of the relationship now... he's going to go along with anything she says, and anything she wants. But when he comes down from that high, he'll realize she's got his balls in a jar on her nightstand and it'll all be over.

It's kind of a shame, really. Had MC been willing to accept a ring Nick could AFFORD... and been careful not to be too demanding, who knows? They might have had a chance.

It is sad that they didn't get a ring that he could afford! How embarrassing for her to have to pay for her own ring, as if one he could afford wouldn't be good enough. There are many beautiful rings that would have been so nice and meaningful at reasonable prices. Also, I thought I heard she had financial problems at one point, well NO WONDER! Also, it is not a very good example for young people, which is unfortunate. But I hope it goes well for them.
