Formal shorts are the BIG new Hollywood trend this year. I know that because all the fashion rags little peon publicity people keep emailing me all about it. I keep ignoring it. Natalie Portman should have ignored it too. Shorts...fine. Formal shorts..fucktarded.

Formal shorts? Oxymoron. Seersucker golf shorts is about as formal as I can see this trend going.

I couldn't agree more. They look ridiculous. In Amsterdam, my fiancé & I saw the most hilarious men's formal shorts with matching suit jacket in the store window. Hilarity ensued :-)
I kinda like 'em....I like them in linen esp. You can wear heels with them. I say as long as they aren't Daisy Dukes, it's O-Tay!! They are for the slender bod tho. Whats the big deal?
MEN's would be stupid. Thats NOT gay or anything...*cough* But on women they are nice.
They are just "dressy" shorts. Formal? I've never heard of that. This style of dressy shorts has been around for a long time. Wool, linen, cotton...casual but dressy at the same time. I love them. Wish I was young & thin, I'd wear them.
