No I don't like the cut, I bet it looks much better now. You're different enough without a military haircut to emphasis that. You're too good-looking to mess it up like that.
And if you're old, I'm old and I'm not old. I'm going to quit calling myself old because I think it's making me act weird and old and I'm even starting to stoop sometimes (wtf?). So if 50ish women are old, I'm going to have to start lying or something and lying is too much work, so ... let's just stop using that label which better describes a 90 year old, ok?
I wish there was a label other than mature or cougar (Cute Older Unattached Girl...) because they all have some unpleasant flavour to them. "Mature" sounds like someone with so much common sense they would never stay up past 10pm or say something off-colour.
Wow. You have to have a really pretty face to pull off a haircut that strong, and you do! Nice choice. I love it! (I shaved my head once. It felt great, but didn't look so hot.)
Great picture , DD ! Anon 3:32 made me laugh ! When my sister in law turned 50 she told everyone that she was 60 and then she would say... don't I look good for my age ? I thought that was hilarious !!! Age is just really a state of mind, isn't it ??
OK, don't shoot me here DD or my fellow readers, but I will give you my honest opinion...Rocco is a gorgeous pooch and you DD have a really beautiful face but I'm not loving the crew-cut, sorry. I had my hair cut really short about 3 years ago and I loved the freedom of it but I know it was not the most flaterring cut I had ever had. DD, I think you suit short hair but IMHO, that cut is a little harsh..gulp, Sorry!
I like your new cut DD. I think its great when people try new things with their hair. I shaved my head at the beginning of this year and loved it. Now the hair has grown out and it has never been so full and soft. :)
And to Anon, good on you for not calling yourself old. I think people are so quick to label themselves as over the hill. I am 28 (as of yesterday) and friends who are my age have already started calling themselves old. Well, they can be as old as they want. I am not.
there are very few people who can carry a crew cut, YOU CAN. i realy mean that!! ignore all the people who said they don't like it. they must have some sort of a long-hair fetish going for them. that cut looks great on you. when i saw the photo i thought WOW!!! i think it's because you have just the right shaped face and big eyes. you need that to carry a crew cut. either that or the crew cut is giving you big eyes. whatever... as a person who loves short hair but can't wear it because i don't have the right face i have to say i envy you and if that hair cut looked good on me i'd go for it straight away. and yes!!!! it makes you look young and pretty too!!
Congrats on the hair "Locks For Love". I think that is a huge deal. The kids who will benefit can't thank you exactly, but I will, right now. Thank You DD! I know ones that have had the priveledge of recieving wigs made of donated hair. But please grow it out again. It's too butch for your beautiful face. Rocco is gorgeous too! But he looks great with short hair!! Please don't go that short again!!! Find some nice, soft middle ground. I am thinking, you cut it around the time you lost Eric. So, I totally understand. If it helped you get thru, then thats great. Love you babe.
LOL! I did the first cut myself in a panick. It was stuck in my front closing bra clasp and I was just mad at it. The crew cut was done by a stylist friend. She's good.

I am so impressed you cut your own hair. I wish I could manage even a simple trim, but scissors and me do not mix! lol.
