The rat and the egg

Just laughing here..Bee Bee has become so demanding. She makes me cook her an egg with cheese every morning. If I don't cook it she will back up and kick the cage with her back feet making a racket. Okay, okay..I did it. I threw half of it away and came back here to blog. Then I went to get coffee and discovered my pet can now open her cage. Where was my escaped rat? In the garbage eating the other half of her egg. No, no, chubbo, we do not eat garbage. Now she has to learn to pick a lock. But, I'll still cook her breakfast. Rats are smart! And greedy too.

Casey says she's doubled in size since I got her. I hadn't noticed since she's always on me. She's got a ways to go before being grown though.

Bee Bee can play outside her cage, on the couch, sit in the window, lay on me...if she has to potty she's now learned that she can climb up on my shoulder and act excited. I put her back in her cage, she goes potty and comes back out. Rats are so smart it's unreal.

I'm on the side of "that's the cutest little thang ever."

... and I loved the story!

Ever had a familiar? I think you've got one now. She's way too ordinary to be just a regular pet.

wait until she discovers the alcohol filled chocolate.

One of our rats stole some alco-cherry-filled chocoloate, ate them, and wasn't seen for two days. Because he had to sleep it off (and everytime he was fit enough he ate another one. He stole several and cleverly hid them). That is what I call 'binge drinking'.

DD... are you actually "Willard"? And is your rat Ben? That would make Michael Jackson your special accompianist! "Ben" is a cool song, and I have watched all the Willard & Ben movies, even tho I detest rats & mice & rodents. So, from way back then before CGI, I even understand the training it took to make the rats "act". So, maybe they need to be smart to survive. I still hate 'em. Sorry DD. Still love you tho!

I've always been odd. I love snakes, rats, weasels, lizards. Bee Bee is a real pet though, not a novelty. She's way cool.
