Ruslana Korshunova dead at 20

Just shy of her 21st birthday, super model, Ruslana Korshunova ended her own life Saturday night by jumping from the balcony of her apartment in NYC. Ruslana had been blogging heartbreaking poetry before her death. Stuff about lost love. It's sad...she had it all and now she's gone and her family is left wondering. I'm sorry for her family. Rest in peace.

I thot this was gonna be another model dies from eating disorder story. You wonder...what could she be sad about? Beautiful, moaney, travels all over the world, is young and just getting started and had the entire world at her feet. What goes wrong that could make a young girl do this? No man is worth your own life honey! Besides she probably had more money than he did! She coulda done better than some loser that dupmed her. Sooo young. Sad story. Never heard of her, but sad.

this was in an article I Googled about her:

"She had reportedly watched the movie "Ghost" with a former boyfriend the night of her death."

Wow! I love that movie. But Wow!

I think her family back home was poor and she had been helping them and sending them money. Wasn't another model that dies recently doing the same thing? Could it be that these young girls cannot take all that pressure and responsibility? It's tough when you are older to deal with it all!!!

Yup - "Ghost" would about do it.

So sad she felt that this was the only solution.

Jumping is messy and ugly...it's a strange way for a beautiful young woman to choose to die.

jumping from a building is easy. No action needed, just lean forward. Much easier than hanging or cutting your veins. A suicidal person does not care about the 'mess' or other people (see the ones jumping in front of trains or driving into the opposite lane).

I would like to see a drug test on the remains. Drugs&pressure&emotional stress - that mixture has broken a lot of people in the past.

So sad. Alcohol? deppression? How sad.

Anyone think she may have been pushed? Just because there were no signs of a struggle doesn't mean there wasn't one. Suicide is such a stigma....
