Water everywhere

Yep, the rains keep coming. We have such nice weather here. Either we're caught in the grips of a three month long ice storm or we're melting from the humidity..now we're bailing. That's not a river, it's the street in front of the house. It got worse...everyone has their sump pumps going trying desperately to keep it out of their first floor. I saw some smart assed kids going down the street in a rowboat in one neighborhood. I'm not bitching though..it's better than a drought. I guess. It's a bitch to drive in, I ripped my bumper loose. Oh, and the rushing water really tore up the streets. I've never seen that before..it just ripped the pavement up in huge chunks and left pot holes the size of houses. You have to look carefully where you're going or end up in China. I'm trying to move in this crap. It's everywhere now, no one escaped the wet. Still not bitching..I don't mind the smell of mold. Could be worse and probably will be..the sky looks mad. Some houses look like they were built in a lake. It's hard to drive in it and take pics.

We're having a bit of rain here in Montreal, but it's just sprinkles compared to you. You do get some extreme weather, don't you? Poor Dishy! I had no idea about the torn-up pavement. You learn something new everyday. Good luck with the move and stay dry!

hope your house is ok. so exciting moving though but i have to hand it to you the weather there SUCKS. it really does. we are having 4 days of 'damaging winds' over here, but no damage to date. we used to complain about melbourne weather all the time (four climates in one day) but now, compared to the rest of the planet, we can consider the weather here to be pretty stable. and we are just grateful every day for 'normal' weather.

I've been reading about the flooding in your area, you folks must be fed up. Weren't two kids killed the other day from a tree falling on their car? Hope things dry up there soon and that the weather calms down. All that water every where can't be healthy. I'm itching just thinking of how the mosquitos must be breeding up a storm

heard about a damn muskrat that gnawed thru sandbags and caused a big break and flood somewhere. I guess it was holding until her did that. So, you never know! Try as hard as you want but nature will do w/e it wants! Be careful out there DD. That looks awful Ever consider moving to higher ground??? Like Denver???

Those water moccasins and other snakes will go to the trees when the floods get real high. Then you have snakes falling all over you! It happens! Pissymood is right. Watch out for them in the water and in the trees! Good gawd! Thats f'g creepy!

Water mocks are common here. They're territorial though. It's not like they stalk you.
