Gordon Ramsay fell off a cliff in Iceland and went down a 280 foot drop off into the ice water. He thought he was a goner..*
Father of four Ramsay, 41, landed in a creek but struggled to get back to the surface because of his heavy gear.
"I remember thinking, 'Oh f***'. My boots and my waterproofs were dragging me down."
"I'm an extrememly good swimmer but I couldn't get to the surface. I was panicking and my lungs were filling up with water."
"When I got to the top after getting my boots off I was dazed and my head was totally numb."
He was pulled out by the TV crew after they threw him a rope to grab hold of but was too scared to tell his wife Tana, 33.
"I didn't tell her at first. I chickened out but she knew something was up. She was upset and extremely p***** off. When I was underwater all I could think of was Tana and my kids. It wasn't until I was on the plane home I realised what a close call I'd had."

Close call Gordon. I bet that cold water sent his bullocks to his throat. Quick thinking and the fact that he is in good shape (runs marathons) surely helped him escape a quick death.
I haven't been able to imagine all day since I first read this what he was filiming up a cliff in Iceland.

I LOOOOOVE His show and respect the fact that he's not a pretty boy. In that, I mean, Chef Ramsay may look older than 41, but he's not all botoxed of fake like Kenny Rogers or Barry Manilow. oy! Some of these Hollyweird types are " skerry".

I watched Hell's Kitchen for the first time this season and loved it. He is quite the colourful man lol.
I'm with you DD - there is no way he just panicked and said nothing, unless the person he portrays on the TV show is wrong, but I don't think anyone could fake that anger - although he has a passion for food.
Funny how he is scared of his wife lol.
