the use of the word smock reminds me of the calvin and hobbs cartoon where hobbs is wearing a smock and keeps saying "smock smock smock smock..." cuz he likes the sound of that word!

I think it's nice to see a sense of modesty from someone in Hollywood. If she was showing it off she'd be knocked, she wears something traditional and she's still knocked. Doesn't matter she can't win with the press / bloggers, so wear what she likes.
She's beautiful and sweet-looking. I've never seen a smug expression on her face, nor an eager-to-be-seen one, so I think she's just living her life for herself and her family.
