Oh, come on!

I saw that Angie cover and at a glance thought..it's, wait, no, what? You can't tell me this isn't what they were going for. Same thing..one is a priceless piece of art containing clues to centuries old hidden religious questions. The other is a movie star who has kids. Same thing, right? Priceless.

I've always thought the Mona Lisa looked like a dude. I guess if that was really the concept/look VF was trying to go for, they picked the right person. Angie definitely tops the manly look.

There's even the same amount of cleavage! Their boobs look the same! It HAS to be the same look! =P

OMG!!! Can we puleeeez dispense with the AJ BS for one GD day!? I miss the good ol' days when Brit was having a daily fender bender and we all talked about her and her daily Starbucks runs. LOL! At least that was humorous and she's fun. AJ is super bitch full of herself and thinks she's the almighty creator! This is just starting to make me sick. Enough already. Dayum!!!! I wonder if she's getting sick of it herself???? How could she not? Geee-oddd!

Botox lipped Angie looks nothing like the Mona Lisa which, by the way is not a religious figure. One of us needs to go back to school.

Read this: You've been schooled anon 11:39!!!

"...In the past when the Virgin Mary and Christ Child could be used to mirror any age, now, in a universal, trans-national multi-cultural arena, the old subjects could not be used. Leonardo's Mona Lisa, instead, is ready and able to carry its significance across national and ethnic and religious boarders (many, anyway). It, therefore, has been turned into a "matrix" onto which the stylistic and narrative and cultural phenomena of our age can be affixed for others to understand. One might even say that the Mona Lisa has become the Mother of Images and in certain ways has replaced images of the Virgin Mary as worthy of worship."

one, the famous picture of a woman who just gave birth to a child.

one, the picture of a famous whore who just had two children cut out of her womb.

anon 12:12

that does not change the fact that ML has nothing to do with religion. Reread the stuff you just quoted.

I agree DD, that was the look they were going for. Anon 10:07, you said Mona looks like a dude. Did you know that there are many who believe that the Mona Lisa is really a self-portrait of Da-Vinci dressed as a woman? Of course this has never been proven but the idea dates back many years.
Anon 11:24, please re-read DD's post and maybe do some research on Mona Lisa and all of Da-Vinci's art, for that matter, before you tell people to go back to school. Not once did DD state that the Mona Lisa was a "religious figure".

Oh Crabbie, does it mean so much to you LOL!?? But DD, I agree that maybe you should bump the post for a while to keep it interesting. Lots of folks are just coming back from vacation and such and maybe have not had a chance to see these works of photo-shop art.

Freaking rag-azines turned politicians, trying to suck-up to Angelina and her court of world celebrities. Media has been gloryfying these two since the moment she seduced Brad on the set. I remember the photos of Angelina and Brad wearing matching jackets outside her trailer. Magazines immediately wowed the couple and abstained from saying anything mean about this homewrecker.

Susan many historians believe the Mona Lisa to be a portrait of Lisa Gherardini Giocondo, the wife of a wealthy Florentine merchant, Francesco del Giocondo. (Thus the Mona Lisa is known in Italy as La Gioconda.)

I don't see or think the "Mona Lisa look" was a purposeful ploy, but those who hate her will jump on the bandwagon just as those who love her jump on another.

But, Mona contains symbols of Paganisim that had to be hidden at the time. Not all "religious questions" are Christian and I feel a little smug right now. Sorry.

dd.

Really? Symbols of paganism? Where?

The only thinks 'hidden' are a necklace and some hills in the background.

Where did you get that 'pagan symbols' stuff?

I hope not from some fictious romans called 'da Vinci code' - because almost everything in them iss.. crap.

Leo WAS a Pagan..he hid stuff in many paintings.

really? was he? says who?

you can find all kinds of stuff everywhere, if you believe that it is there. But Leo a pagan? In strict catholic Italy?
