It wasn't anyone in her family. A new DNA test called "touch DNA" has ruled out anyone in her family as the person who assaulted and killed her. I'm sorry it's too late to tell that to Patsy Ramsey, who I always believed in. Patsy died in 2006 of ovarian cancer. I'm glad her father, John and her siblings got to hear this news that they already new..but, now the world knows. Rest In Peace little Jonny B and Patsy.

I still think it was Papa Joe. I don't have any proof...
yeah how many years late is this??
dear family of jonbenet: sorry about all those years you were crucified in the media, labeled killers, your son as a child was labeled a suspect and well basically the whole world hated you...yeah, sorry about all that...our bad, your local yocal keystone cops...
Exactly. It's shameful.
I love how everyone jumps on the "I always knew that" bandwagon, yet it was always common knowledge that the circumstantial evidence against the Ramsey family-- Patsy in particular-- was HUGE, and that's just what was released to the public.
Now that they have apparently been cleared (with scientific means unavailable at the time of the murder) we should damn the authorities handling that case for not being PSYCHIC?
I always thot it was Patsy and John helped her conceal what had happened. I still think thats what happened. The stupid ransom note was ridic! 13 pages long? Right? And from a tablet found in the house, on/in Patsy's desk? And too many personal details in it for it to be a stranger, and if the child was dead why write a GD note anyway, that took alot of time? An outsider would have just gotten the hell outta there when it went bad. It was simply a ruse to throw off the cops. No other reason. Patsy's dead so they can't ever charge her, so I think they are just letting the family off the hook. Patsy was a "stage mother" and she was probably angry at this child for some reason and totally lost it! Sadly being at x-mas time, but it happened. They will never officially solve this.
you know, my oldest son is the same age as she was. it really touched me when this story came out. she would be 17/18 today & graduating from school. it is such a shame stuff like that happens to kids. i have always thought it was her father who did it & her mother covered it up or had some part in it. there are way too many details around the murder & house for some stranger to have come in & done all that stuff without someone in that house waking up. it doesnt make sense at all. i dont think we will ever know who did it. i do think that that stupid police department ruined crucial evidence & overlooked stuff too. maybe because they were just stupid or because they have never had hands on experience with that type of crime. maybe the father paid them off to overlook stuff. who knows. who knows if any parent would act differently in that same situation. my first reaction would be to pick up my child i think. thank god i have never been faced with anything like that.
yeah, and funny...the dad was the only person that was able to find her after the entire house was thoroughly searched by police. I'm sure he was like "Damn, those idiots, I guess I'm gonna have to go into that little room in the basement and pretend to find her...why couldn't they have found her, that would be more credible dammit." I'm sure they didn't want to spend another night in that house with their dead baby in the basement.
And...and...only a mother would EVEN think to change a childs panties!
this whole thing (still) sickens me to the core.
i really hope that they figure out who did this. b/c, even though it has been a ridiculous amount of time, that person is Still out there...
Yes, the ransom note was in handwriting similar to Patsy's. I always thought the mother had something to do with her death. She always just seemed to have something to hide. John, no. Never suspected him.
I wonder if we will ever know what happened to that beautiful little girl.
No offence DD, but I don't believe it. DNA is not infallable, it just sounds good. A miniscule sample after all this time has no credibility, that's why it is important to preserve a crime scene immediately. This is all just because the cops can't solve it and they were embarrassed when they arrested that sicko a year or two ago who was fantasising about it but it wasn't him. This 'development' doesn't deserve to override all the other facts of the case.
so first you read all the papers writing about the stuff, watching shows talking about it and listenting on the radio about it - and finally it is not your fault that everybody talked about it?
How delusional.
Thanks to this particular group of idiot cops if you even say "pageant" JonBenet is who the entire world thinks of.
RIP Patsy.
There's too many unanswered questions, we'll probably never know the answer to. This newest dna evidence is purely circumstantial. It really means nothing as far as clearing the family. That DNA could have been there before she was even killed. My hunch is that the parents were involved in a cover-up. So I don't believe they are totally innocent. I think they knew who the killer was. The parents behaviors were so weird after the child was found, I think that in and of itself says a lot!
