birth control would be a great thing....but there are many cultures where it's MANLY to have as many children as possible---never mind if they are starving or die from disease....
Hell, educated Americans won't use it so I'm sure these people who have little to no access to it are going to use it.

Even being raised in a different culture with different religious & social ideals, topped off with being a poorly educated person, doesn't common sense kick in at some point and say, how the hell are we going to feed this child, cloth them, educate them so they don't have it as hard as we have, see to their medical needs, on and on?
It really bugs me the first thing screamed about is 'it's our human right to have a family'. What about the 'human rights' and quality of life of that 'family' your bringing into the world and won't be able to afford to feed them if the mother dies because there won't be breast milk!
Thats why this Yohane gave up Madonnas son David, the kids mother died and without her breast feeding he couldn't afford formula! I can't be the only one who see's a problem with this! It's happening all over the world, including here at home where we supposedly know better. But here the parents get on welfare and have a free ride, and keep on having kids to increase their benefits.
God forbid you dare try to have a conversation with these ppl about birthcontrol because you'll get the bs about personal rights to have sex and birth a dozen if thats what they so choose.

yeah, there was a guy in the US who was order by a judge to NOT have any more children cuz he had like 9 with several different mothers and couldn't pay child support to ANY of them and the guy got an attorney to sue because it was HIS RIGHT to father children!!!

i read once where a British missionary couple in africa were sent BC pills and took them religiously (LOL)! So as not to hinder their preaching & teaching work with babies. They had a baby! Surprise! It happens. They kept having babies,and didn't understand why! then they were asked if they took them everyday and said "Yes, my husband takes it everyday!" OK...true story too! How dumb are some people? You can't trust all people with pills. Just take away their ability to have babies. Surgically. Only solution.
Nowhere on this planet is it required for men and women to take parenting & coping skills classes BEFORE having children. We all must have licenses and soemtimes actually pass a test to fish, hunt, drive a car, own a gun etc. But any old foolish smuck can go out and make babies.

Unfortunately, the BuSh administration has altered the way we are able to provide planned parenting in other countries by requiring agencies to preach abstinence as birth control or have their funding eliminated. Great job!

I already worked for Peace Corps and the UN for nine years after college. You are ignorant, so I will try to explain the Socio-economic reasons behind underdeveloped third world countries having large families. BIRTH RATE MORTALITY, Lack of economic initiative and education. Christian missionaries DO NOT force you to sit through a class before they hand you a condom. USAid does NOT make you do anything before they give you a handful of condoms. Problems lie in the mentality that these people have to work the land and many of their kids die off. Even after medical aid lowers the mortality rate; old customs still apply. Most villages don't have electric plants, they run on generators that are turned off at a precise early hour, at which point the fucking begins (seriously, there is nothing left to do once the generator shuts off and all you got is candle power)"candle" power, ha,ha.
So before you assume I am speaking without authority on the subject, I suggest you get yourself some candle power and read up on it.

No. The "candle power" remark was a facetious one to imply that the penis was the candle. In Cuba when someone is very sexually active they say that he/she is "candela", or candle.
In rural areas of the world, when the sun goes down there is no alternative light source other than wood fire or candles. Sexual relations are almost scheduled in the night-every night. Unless you ever go out at night in a place like that it is hard to imagine a deeper dark without the ambient light from cities or other man-made light.
