This is actually missing the very end piece, which shows that Christian the lion brought his "wife" to meet the men, also. If you want to see the whole thing, minus the newscasters, here is the link:
I know a guy that rescued a year old female mountain lion and nursed it to health. He was swinging in his hammock at his ranch while the lioness licked his hand, which had a small scartch. The scratch started to bleed a little and when he took his hand away, the lioness bit hard and started to pull on him. I think about it every time I see the rug. True story, I mentioned it here before.
Those of us who rescue wild animals always know they could turn on us. And some do..some don't. I thought the people in the film were brave. I don't think I'd have done that, but, the lion was so sweet in the end, so happy to see his people. It was touching to know some animals do remember.
My 13 year old Pomeranian cries when we leave the house. He actually gets sad and then starts tearing up a room of his choice. He is so old that I just let him do whatever he wants after his exercise and massage.
