Kate, I hate criticizing someone I actually have some admiration for, but, you have to stop hitting your husband or I'm going to stop watching your show. Seriously..I can't be the only one tired of it. One of your kids is always in the corner for hitting because "We don't hit in this house" but, you smack hell out of Jon in nearly every episode. Stop it..it's ugly.

i love this show to pieces. the kids are absolutely adorable. i too admire kate, but she can be a bit much. i mean come on the kids can't get dirty!? they're kids! put a smock on them n send em on their way! jeeez

I totally agree. I love this show, but Kate needs to lighten up. There are several things that she does that I like, but the hitting and never letting the kids get dirty is just a bit much. Kids need to be kids.
Please allow Kate some idiosyncracies. Look at the kids. 8 of them and they are all well behaved and smart. She has to be doing something right.
I am bothered by how she treats Jon. The hitting seems like "love taps". But the constant correcting and criticism seems annoying to me. If my husband had ever helped me that much with the kids and household chores, I would have been a very happy person. So, lighten up a bit and at least half the time, let him think he was right even if he wasn't!

Controllers do that...little putdowns and jabs just let him know she wants to be the boss.
With so many pre-schoolers it would be almost impossible to have everything orderly and picture perfect all day long. She just needs to hang a little looser till she gets them all in full time school and then has the day to organize things at home.
Little ones grow up so fast, just enjoy them while they are babies.

I have something to say about all of them...
We have 5 children whom 4 of them are all just months apart. I am so with Kate on the getting dirty issue. No REAL mother has all the time in the world to get out stains I mean come on.
No one should judge.. If you don't want to watch the show then simply turn the channel. You have the option. I have never worked to be able to stay home with my boys and now all but 1 of them are teenagers. I admire them for what they have done. They are very young parents (as I was) all any parent can do is keep them safe and hope that you did your best. All of you that jugde Look at your life . It will shock you.
As for the hitting issue some of you say she send her children to the corner for hitting. Ya and.....
Some of you smoke You children don't some of you drink do your kids NO NO NO
so she hits her husband in a non harmful manner and her kids are not allowed to hit so what.
