This Half Ton Man documentary was on again last night. It opens with paramedics removing a wall of his house in Valentine, Nebraska and taking Patrick Deuel to a hospital to try and save his life. He weighed 11 hundred pounds. Patrick was basically a head sticking out of a blob of weeping bleeding shit covered fat. He ended up losing a few hundred pounds in the hospital and he could breathe again and even sit up. My heart went out to him at first, that poor poor man, I mean people can't help that they have addictions and need help. Then the real Patrick started coming out. Someone asked him about his diet once he got home. He says "No one tells me what I can and can't have, I'll tear you to pieces with my bare hands." He's all surly and tough acting. The camera pans to his trash can and it's full of Pizza Hut boxes. I thought, you're not gonna kick anyone's ass, you can't even walk, you fat slop bastard. He's never screwed his wife..ever, because he's too fat. His skin is so stretched out he bleeds and can't wipe his own ass and he's mean. WTF you so mean for, Patrick? He's an asshole. And he likes the computer..think on that one, folks. Ewww. Lost my sympathy, and my appetite. Next time they do a fatso documentary, they need to find a sweet fat guy. Not one so mean ignorant you start rooting for a coronary.

I agree! However his emotional crap must have been part of the reason he's eating himself to death...he's mean because he doesnt want to be judged while doing what his drug of choice...food.
He had to have help to maintain that weight......I wonder why people would let him (help him?) get that big.....

where i'm from in iowa was once the home of the world's largest man back in the late 60s/70s....he lived across from my grandmothers (they lived next door to each other and that was like night/day between the too)....
what about the fat guy in mexico who just took his first trip outside in a few years via a crane and a special bed?
Anon 3:13 makes a good point, it is downright irresponsible for his wife or anyone else to keep helping him get so much food. If he calls for a pizza or orders one online get the lines disconnected! If he was a drug user they could be charged for feeding him drugs. His wife must have really low self esteem to be married to a disgusting spectacle like this who is mean as well.
I thought the same think when I saw it the first time. I felt sorry for him until he got home. What a waste of resources and time for the people & facility that treated him! He must do a serious mental job on those around him that they enable the behavior.
I have some experience dealing with overweight (extremely overweight) people. The first thing I notice is their lack of interest in changing the eating habits that landed them in the situation to start. My sister in law eats and eats whatever she wants and then complains about men and her children. She makes people watch fat shows so that they can see what she goes through. Even faked thyroid symptoms to a Dr. so that she could take the medicine during pregnancy and not gain another 100 pounds. her baby was born with a narrow urethre and a damaged lung. She dont care, she basically gave them back to her ex because they were cramping her dating style. She dates some guy none of us have seen named "scratch".
At least he doesn't need a pillow to look at internet porn.
If he's that mean and shitty to his wife...she needs to pull a Tyler Perry Diary of a mad black woman moment on his ass. A little attitude adjustment might do him good.

my daughter went to school with a girl that was morbidly obese, even a fat child during kindergarten, just always a big girl. She always smelled like urine. My daughter would say "Hi" to her & try to talk to her but she'd tell her to "fuck off" and "shut up" etc. and was just very, very mean & hurtful to anyone that tried to be her friend. Her mom would bring her McD's to school for her lunch! She had food at her desk all the time. Real food, not just snacks. She finally had to quit school due to her weight, her mom died from being obese, then she died at the age of 19 from a heart attack. The families of these people are enablers because they are usually the same! & they are mean so that they are mean 1st and then you dont have a chance to be mean & reject them 1st. I saw this show lastyear. It's gross. Food every where. We watched and were asking how in the hell do they pay for all that take out? We can't afford to nor want to eat out everyday. But dayum. Thats our tax dollars hard at work there! Feeding the obese unable to work! Pisses me off.

the mean attitude distracts from the real problem, his Pizza & burger addiction! He's a eating machine. Can you imagine the sh** he produces? Who cleans that up all day long? He probably doesn't even know when he sh**s! He certainly doesn't make you sympathize with him. The trash did make me mad. FOOD! FOOD! and he can't be getting that all by himself. They are all guilty that help him!
