Miley said she was heartbroken after she and Nick split at the end of 2007. “At first I bawled for a month straight,” she says. “I was so sad. I just went into this weird funk. And I dyed my hair black.”

My only daughter went on her 1st "date" when she was in the 11th grade! That was the deal. And it was a fall dance, semi-dress up. She never even wore make up till 8th grade. Little girls dont need that stuff. She doesn't complain about not being allowed to date earlier, she had her fun when it was appropriate for her age. This child has some serious problems with boys. She's some kind of baby nympho. They better get her on the pill pronto. As for her "virginity" ring...yea right! Like thats gonna last. If it hasn't already been lost!

It scares me to watch these young girls grow up so quickly, and with all the hormones in food; it only happens faster nowadays. Boys and girls are exposed so quickly because of cable TV and the internet. Back in the day we discussed sex and wondered about it amongst friends. Now you can access a site and get all you want and more. My son (14 had a bootleg copy of Paris' sex cd). I talked to him about honesty in relationships and the importance of being happy with who you are, and not looking for happiness in someone else.

Anon 6:06, your daughter is in the minority to not have had her first real date until grade 11. I'm not knocking it, i think it's great. But most kids are dating by grades 6 & 7. Not kidding, it's disturbing i see it all the time and wonder what the hell their parents are thinking allowing it. Pathetic truth is, most parents aren't involved enough to even know what their young teens are upto.
anon 8:34: Yes, my daughter was in the minority when she wasn't dating. She got asked to prom for years before she was ever allowed to go! When she was a freshman the seniors were asking her out. That weirded me out alot. I am sure she had her little at school boyfriends and went to school functions and hung out with boys and girls and probably was around a boy she liked. I am not stupid, I was a kid once! I know how kids are. But seriously she models now, went to college and has a good career she loves. And has a very nice boyfriend. I think keeping a kid a kid longer makes a happy more imaginative kid. They have to make up fun stuff to do. Painting, art, roller skating, baking w/e. She once was so bored when she was 4 that she made up a board game and it was fun! Kids don't have any imagination anymore. It's just S-E-X from kindergarten on up!

My daughter started dating her freshman year. She was 15. She seems to be ok. I remember that age as well. 2:07 you have issues. Hating a 15 year old? scary.
