Morgan Freeman is in "serious condition"

Mississippi Highway Patrol spokesperson Ben Williams said Freeman and a female passenger were traveling eastbound on Mississippi Highway 32 in Tallahatchie County (Sunday) when his vehicle went off the edge of the road. Freeman overcorrected, flipping his 1997 Nissan Maxima several times before coming to a rest.

This is more serious than I thought when I first read it. I just found out they had to use the jaws of life to cut Freeman from the wreckage and that he was life flighted to a hospital.

I love this guy. He has never ever made a bad movie. Hoping he recovers, he's kinda old for such serious injuries too. He's awesome. His voice is a gift in itself.

Bucket list!?

The bucket list came out this year, I think. It was Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson...two old guys that made a list of things they wanted to do before they kicked the "bucket".

yea, i think the plot line was like they met at a cancer clinic or something and just did this last shot at life together. I need to rent it. I love both those guys, just don't like to think of either of them dying.

My prayers are with him, he is one fine actor and I love his work.

Looks like he is going to be ok. In a statement from his office

Regarding Morgan's injuries -"Morgan has a broken arm, elbow and has minor shoulder damage but was in good spirits when I spoke with him a short time ago at the Elvis Presley Memorial Trauma Center at The MED, a Level 1 Trauma Center at the Regional Medical Center at Memphis"

He is having a little bit of surgery this afternoon or tomorrow to help correct the damage. He says he'll be OK and is looking forward to a full recovery."
Folks are welcome to send well wishes - no flowers or gifts - to:

Amazing career to be proud of, for anyone in hollywood, but astounding when you realize he didn't start acting until he was 50!

They ruled out DUI already btw.

God Speed your recovery Morgan, your in our thoughts.

yes I heard on the 6:00 news he had a few broken bones but was in serious condition - that seems to be a contradiction to me - but it seems he will be ok.

Is a big fan of his.

"Elvis Presley Memorial Trauma Center"...thats kind of an ironic & redundant name, eh?

Gotta love Elvis! Get well Freeman, he was God you know? How can God get hurt in an accident? I love this man.
