Pete almost drowned

Pete Doherty spent his weekend getting rescued from a Scottish lake where he nearly bit the dust. Him and some of his friends went boating on Loch Lomond and the boat sprang a leak and started to fill with water. Doherty’s manager, Adrian Hunter, says: "We lost an oar and sprang a leak."It was freezing and we had a laugh, but it would not have been funny if someone died."

No, genius manager, it wouldn't have been funny. Doesn't a manager know better than that? You know damn well they didn't have life jackets. I lost a close friend like that once. He looked like Pete too and he was a kick ass artist and musician. Got stoned, rowed a boat out in the middle of a lake here for a lark, boat sprung a leak, he couldn't swim. You'd think Pete's manager would be more responsible for his fucked up client.

Gosh. That would've been...awful.

There's probably an oil slick and small ecological disaster wherever his face got underwater. Maybe at least he got cleaned up a bit.

that would have been a typical drugged out rocker way to go tho. If he & Amy ever get out on a boat together, lord help 'em! Thats what you call being up sh** creek w/o a paddle!

Druggies and bodies of water do not mix. Especially druggies whom have forgotten they don't know how to swim.

the world could have become a better place. What a waste of a great chance.

why? because Petey isn't able to look after himself?

All Pete's fault. I hope the next time their will be a happy end.

Oh please, he's been aware of his screwed up clients choices for years and most likely gone alone with most it, if not provided alot of it.

Noone is responsible for what someone else says and does, all of us online should be well aquainted with this. Pete and only Pete is responsible for the mess thats called his life.

And I hope that next time you will be able to use "there" in the proper context. I'm so sorry that you hate happy endings.

I love happy endings but Pete D. still running around doing his bullshit, advertising drug usage to the youth is hardly a happy end.
